Great kit, using the tools and locks together with online tutorials and YouTube videos my 12 year old som had hours of fun. I thought the kit may have been presented in a box as opposed to a plain cardboard box - But no real issue. The tools are of good quality for the price and the locks are a great starting point for gaining confidence and stating a new hobby.

Easy to use very begginer friendly, good to practice but the locks they give are really really easy to pick im talking about 5-30seconds for a beginner. Need something a bit higher security level at least. Managed to lock pick a file cabinet shortly after. Harder to lock pick a door at home. Fun to use good skill to have. I recieved these for Christmas as a gift, they're a great way to kill time while I watch a movie, I have adhd and find having something to occupy my hands with can help me focus on the show more and I'm not reaching for my phone as much. Overall the picks are sturdy and have a good variet, the practice locks are ideal to demonstrate how a lock works as well as how to manipulate the pins, I have since bought several locks to practice on with varying mechanisms and opening sizes to offer a challenge, the tools have held up great without any damage or bends to the picks, the case is a nice touch too, its held all my tools nicely, the little bags that hold the locks however have broke on mine but they are simple press bags so they're not too important, although I like to keep the locks inside them to just keep everything together. The guides are a bit basic but get across the general knowledge of how to use the tools and the purpose of the locks, I personally already worked this out before looking at the guides but I find them a nice addition to download for anyone interested. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking to get into lockpicking as a hobby, whether that is just to start a new one or for someone looking for a puzzle like myself, yes there are cheaper options available but I can only recommend these having held and used them myself, I am overall satisfied with my gift.

I recently moved into a new Apartment, and wanted the open the window fully (it was boiling inside). I think its a Yale Window Lock or an Adaptation of the UPVC locks, but it has the ability to open on a hinge sideways instead of inwards (if that makes sense), but with it locked, you can only open it Inwards. The Landlord refused to give me the key because of "Safety Concerns" -- the window would just open about an inch and I had no ability to clean my outside windows, and since I have no kids and I'm not suicidal, I don't see why I shouldn't be able to open it fully like everyone else. Thanks to this however, I managed to get it done. It took me around 20 minutes or so (bearing in mind I'm a total beginner) and voila! I can now get the window open fully, and let a bit of fresh air in. The practice clear locks are really helpful too, It's really interesting and satisfying when you get that sudden *click* and the lock opens. It has inspired me to develop it into a skill of sorts (with my own locks of course!) All in all well worth the money, a wide variety of strong and sturdy tools and tensioners with a nice pouch to fit them all in. And all for £20, you can't complain!

Comes with plenty of bits to have a go and learn the fundamentals. I have never ever tried to pick a lock in my life and thought it would be something to keep me busy and a new skill to learn. Tools are good and easy to use. Down side is that the locks are incredibly easy to unlock. I’ve had the kit open about 45 mins and as a complete starter to this, I've had all 3 locks open multiple times. Great for learning and seeing the visuals but not great for getting any kind of skill or technique as they’re just too easy to pick open.

So this is one of my first sets, first one i've bought, first one i've actually tried with, thanks to the guides and the feedback you get from the picks themselves, i managed to unlock every single lock within my own house, and a few old locks my dad has, Lockpicks. The lockpicks appear to be rather sturdy, none of them were damaged or scratched when I got them out of the box Pouch. The pouch is good enough though as I've seen stated in other reviews, its somewhat hard to get the tension bars out to use without jabbing yourself with one of the picks, usually the Extractor or one of the rakes, If i could figure out how to give a half star i would. Locks. The locks themselves aren't too hard to get through, however as a start to get used to what you're feeling for, and to get an overall feeling of the tools supplied they do what they were intended for, after all it is for practice Seller. Honestly, i have yet to find another person on Amazon who responds as fast as this one does, The guides were sent through immediately, and when i confirmed i got them, i had a response back in exactly 53 minutes, Packaging. They came packaged in a box, inside a box. ~something I found amusing~ Well, its more a box in an outer cardboard body that can crumble without damaging the goods inside, so they did at least take a precaution against damage. All the picks and locks came within plastic ~i think~ pouches, which does help you not jab yourself as soon as you get the package open. Delivery. the item was delivered almost exactly on time, so hats off to Amazon prime delivery for that one, i ordered it close to 9PM, the day prior, and got it not too long after the minimum estimated delivery time. Overall, I would say these are great to start out with, it gives you a nice variety to test out, as well as something that however may not be used often, would be extremely useful if the situation ever arrived, the Key extractor. Note. I would have given it 4 and a half stars, since one of the locks was a little bit loose, though it didn't effect the overall feel much at all, if anything the loose one was the hardest to get open, because of how hard it was at times to keep the torsion bar in. The other locks (and duel lock) was nice and tight however. If you're starting out, or just want to get to know what its like I would advise giving this set a try,
