Works out very well for phone cord repairs at work

I recently purchased a scale with a detached display, but the included coil cable was too short for my use, and I wasn't a fan of the coil style. After doing some research I figured out the connection was RJ22 or RJ9 (still not sure what the difference is). Using these connectors and 50ft of phone cable I purchased separately, I was able to make a custom-length cable that works perfectly. These seem like good quality connectors and very reasonable priced for way more connectors than I'll ever need. Highly recommended.

Does the job perfectly. Contacts are properly gold coated, and the connectors are crystal clear. The molding is crisp and accurate, wire get in easily and they crimp equally easily.

I installed these RJ9 connectors on a high quality Western Electric handset cord and the resulting connection was dead—no dial tone. The cord was known to work—the reason for replacing the connector was that the locking mechanism broke. I carefully prepared the wire, fully inserted it into the connector and crimped with a high quality crimper that I used in the past and … nothing. The connectors looked like they were installed correctly. I tried re-crimping —-nothing. I tried cutting off the “defective” connector and carefully installed a new RJ9 connector. No cigar. The connection looked good; I couldn’t figure it out. Then I got out a 40 year old El-cheapo plastic crimper and … it worked! I then re-crimped other non-working connections with the old El-cheapo crimper and they worked too! So if you install these connectors and the connection doesn’t work, try a different crimper. What I thought was a high quality crimper did not work, but an old El-cheapo one did.

Purchased several packages of these to make shortened handset cables at a customer, and they seem to work fine, a good value.

Worked great on my Telephone Handsets

I have some old phones, one of which needed a new handset cord, but I couldn't find one in just the right color. So I ordered some of these 4P4C ("RJ9") connectors and was able to replace the broken connector myself. Worked perfectly.

These do not fit into my vintage phone base.

I bought it by mistake. I needed an RJ11. IF you are trying to plug in to a Modem or a Telephone wall Jack get the RJ 11. This is for a handset that plugs into the phone it is narrower and will not work for what I need. Good Quality. I give myself a 1 * rating for not clicking on the right button. GJ NETCABLES.
