Great speaker for the money.
I shopped around for a speaker since my old one started to die. I bought this one for a number of reasons based on its features and previous Amazon reviews. I really like it so far.For the high wattage, I’m surprised it’s as light weight as it is. The sound quality is excellent and the battery charge lasts a long time. I love that it has a separate microphone jack and volume for the mike too. I don’t use it for karaoke at all, but I play drums and have an electronic kit. When I’m practicing alone, I just use headphones so it’s quiet, but when I play with my other musician friends, I use this speaker as my amplifier and plug in via the mike input. It’s great, as we can play along to songs via the Bluetooth feature. I love that I can control the music and my drum kit volume separately so the blend is perfect. A lot of speakers can’t do that; they’re all on one volume. Very nice. All fives in the star department.

The speaker makes great loud sounds and music is clear for a banquet room.
The sound was of the played music very good and loud, however the microphone echoed and some static, I give it a 7/10 for starters.

Does not live up to its specifications !!!
Poor bass delivery even if this is a full range 12" driver. On a full charge the PPHP122SM is like other PyleUSA products that will not retain any EQ or electronic volume settings after the main power switch is flipped to off on a fully charged battery. Instruction manual is poor for a novice user. The battery charge pack receptacle on the top of the unit is unreliable to indicate a proper charge as it does not fit snugly enough - just like other Pyle USA PA speaker products. Do not waste your time and money purchasing this only to have to spend more time and money in sending it back for a refund.

I couldn't beat the DJ but this did...
So the DJ we hired for my daughter's wedding said he would be "too busy" to provide any sound for the cocktail hour which is on an outdoor patio in spite of us specifically telling him we needed this before hiring. Said he would need to bring a helper. I don't really recall discussing how he was going to do what we needed doing, Still not clear on what he will be too busy doing, but it wasn't worth the hassle to argue.I figured I would just buy a unit like this one and set it up myself. As the FOB I have nothing going on anyway.I have been running sound for 30 years and have tons of amps, speakers, mixers, mics, etc. This was a simpler solution. Battery operated. Bluetooth. Weighs virtually nothing. If the sound is acceptable, it's a no-brainer.When it arrived, I pulled it out and set it up in the house and cranked it up to a Pandora mix. Mostly I was concerned about volume levels. Is it going to shred your socks? No. Is it adequate? I would say more than adequate. Is the mic serviceable? Well, it works. No musician, singer, performer, is ever going to buy a mic like this one. But it came with the setup and it kinda works. A "good" mic would cost twice what I paid for this entire unit. With this, you could deliver a message to the crowd, "Step away from the bar!" kind of thing and your message would be heard but likely ignored. That's not the mic's fault. An EQ would have been nice, but, for the most part it's not necessary. Overall, I like this thing and can see many uses. We ran it for about six hours straight and the battery level never dropped a single tick. That was impressive. The speaker stand is a nice touch. Elevating the sound is a game changer - your ears are up here! - so that was a plus. The sound is pretty good with some distortion at the top end with some type of music genres. It's pretty clean with James Taylor. Not so much with Metallica. I'm glad I bought it though. I think it will be a lot of fun for outdoor events like pool parties or beach bbq's.

A Great Multipurpose Speaker
The media could not be loaded. This is a serious high-powered wireless karaoke portable Bluetooth speaker with 12” subwoofer and 800-watt power. There are many ways to play music besides using Bluetooth including FM radio, USB flash drive, SD card reader so can be used as an MP3 player, 3.5mm AUX input, and a ¼” mic/guitar input. When using the radio scan, it will scan all stations and put numbers to them so you do not have to go through all the empty stations every time you turn on the radio. If you know the number of the station you can use the remote to go to that station number and you can search by music genres. It comes with fun DJ lights, a microphone, a rechargeable battery, 3.2’ feet speaker stand, rolling wheels, and extended handle so can take it anywhere.I was very overly surprised by this speaker/karaoke machine. There are so many options to choose from where to listen to music, lights on or off, change base, use the mic or not, etc. We were even able to add additional lights using the USB connection. The Bluetooth was a little hard to get set up but after that, it works great from changing it to Bluetooth to the radio, etc. then back. I do wish the microphone was wireless but if you do not need it you can unplug it and put it away which is nice. I really like the stand. You can set it and then tighten it down where you want. We were able to take it to the beach without worrying about the speaker getting sandy. My only problem with it is that the pinhole does not lock into place in the holder it just holds it so when rolling it, it falls out easily. I attached a picture of it.The minute it was set up my family had to have a dance/pizza party. Plus, we already have taken it to the beach as I said. It is so much fun we are going to be using this a lot for our get-togethers especially during the summer. I wish I had gotten one of these sooner. If need a replacement microphone cord use the one below. It works great and it is a little longer.1/4" to XLR Audio Cord - 1/4 Inch Phono To XLR Female Connection 15 ft 12 Gauge Black Heavy Duty Professional Speaker Cable Wire

Looks good, sound is loud.
The reason for 3 stars is it has no bass. It’s really loud and clear, but I can’t bump it with bass at my party like I thought I would. Other than that, it was a good buy.
