Great Brush - Not Made Of Wood - But Better!
I've been looking for a good bath brush for several years, and finally found one. All the plastic brushes soon fracture if any pressure is applied. Wooden brushes mold and mildew after a year or so. Then too, finding bristles that are neither to hard or too soft is difficult. This product is long enough and properly bent to reach anyplace and give it a good scrubbing (if you catch my drift). The bristles are just right and scrub well while not being harsh on sensitive skin. The only odd thing is that this brush is most definitely not made of wood, but a dense and tough plastic. It certainly will never mildew or form molds, as water beads on it surface (though the bristles might, though I think they will be rather worn out before that happens. There is a slight wooden look due to the plastic forming process, but it's palpably not wooden. The question is how long will it last? I've had a wooden bent-handled brush in the past, and while it worked it was great; however it broke at the bend. I resolved to not apply as much pressure when using this brush, but now am rethinking that necessity as the plastic seems very tough. In any event, the brush will be perfect for anybody who has a back issue that prevents much bending. In general, the bristles on a good brush are what wear out first, and that's acceptable and understandable as long as it will last a year or two. If that is the case with this brush, I will no doubt reorder another; cleanliness is essential the older you get, as the skin grows more delicate with age. I'm finally happy with my bath brush; a small treasure in a world of bother.

Excellent brush with a handle that works - for awhile
I received this today and immediately tried it out. I bought it to replace a loofah scrubber that disintegrated after a few months which I guess happens to something organic. This brush feels great and the bristles are just stiff enough to be a good back scratcher without sacrificing the sudsing ability of soft bristles. The long curved handle reaches every inch of my back easily and though I read some reviews that said it comes off easily I don't see a problem. I think it's a great design and I fully recommend it. July 21 - After a couple of weeks use the brush started coming off the handle every time I used it so I had to insert a screw to keep it from happening. Of course that defeats the idea of using the brush with your hand but I prefer a washcloth anyway for the areas I can reach. It's still a great brush but I'm reducing my 5 star review to 4 because of the need to modify it.

Best back brush so far!! Still the best one!!!
Best back brush so far. Brush does fall off handle, so I just installed two stainless wood screws. Yes it is made of wood. Perfect angle to reach your back, feet etc. I have tried a few different brushes & this is the best. Actually feels likes it scrubs like it is supposed to. Don't buy the other shorter ones, or the ones with the nubs, those nubs/massage, they hold moisture & grow mold & you have to blech it every once in a while . As far as the brush turning in your hand... that happens because of the angle on the handle, meaning you need to have a good grip or it will rotate. All you need is one wood screw to hold the brush head onto the handle.... simple fix. I am on my third one of these & like I stated before, this is the best brush out there, it scrubs your back well & actually work great as a light back scratcher all in one. Win / Win!

Too expensive, good concept, but could be designed better.
The price is to expensive, for a shower brush, but I ordered this brush because it was 20" long (3" longer than any other shower brushes I could find at 17" long). ... Although the concept is good, there are issues: ... 1. The brush itself is good, and it is detachable, but it also slips loose off the handle while in use. ... 2. The brush handle is longer, but it is angles, not curved, making it slightly more difficult to use. ... 3. The handle itself is slick and hard to hold onto. ... 4. The leather cord to hang it with and/or wrap around your wrist is too short. ... 5. Why there are not longer shower brushes on the market I cannot understand, especially for the overweight and elderly, so there is a marketing opportunity here.

Updated 11/21/20 works great for those with scoliosis or reach issues.
Updated 11/21/2020 - holding up very well, just as expected. added photo of brush side by side with another extra long brush for comparison. our mom is getting older and her scoliosis is getting much worse. her old standard sized brush wasn't long enough for her to reach in back anymore. i ordered this and one other that were longer and shaped differently in hopes it would work out for her. this comes in two pieces. why? regardless slide the brush end onto the handle as firmly as possible. i even went so far as to put a bit of wood glue on it before sliding the pieces together. once done you have a very long slightly angled brush. there were no quality control defects, not so much as a stray splinter. the bristles are medium. the angle and length means that she can now reach all areas on her back that she wasn't able to before. in my view all that matters is how well this works for her. getting older is hard enough but then to have major health issues? something like this with its unique design makes a difference and every little positive does matter. i wouldn't hesitate to get this again if needed let alone recommend to anyone who has scoliosis or dexterity issues.

Do not buy. Design faulty and finish poor
I purchased this brush in October 2019. The brush head is a separate piece. It does not stay on the handle. It has no locking mechanism. It is strictly a push on piece. I got tired of putting it back on the handle 3 or 4 times each and every time I showered. In January 3 months after purchasing it, I asked my husband to screw the brush head onto the handle. He looked at it and said it wasn't worth keeping, as the finish was also peeling off. I hung this back brush up after each use. It was definitely not left in water. The finish is not water resistant although its use is in for the bath or shower. It is poorly designed, as the brush head falls off the handle each time you try to use it. The finish is obviously not designed for use in the shower as it peeled off within 3 months.

Excellent quality brush, high quality, gentle bristles, the angle of the handle is just right, the head can be slid away from the handle giving you a close quarters brush for the easy to reach bits. I give this brush a thumbs up and FIVE BIG JUICY AMAZON GOLD STARS EXCELLENT!!!!!!! I was going to ad a video of me in the tub using the brush but then decided that it night be a sore sight for happy eyes.

Wonderful extra long handle. Consists of two separate parts. The brush part slides into the handle Cons: brush does not attach securely. It is an easy fix with Gorilla glue or a screw. Handle gets very slippery Having said all that, I really like this brush and am glad I bought it.

Really like the bristles on brush end, the curve of handle is great and just right to reach mid back area. Do not like the detachable end/brush part as much. Hanging in my shower, it has already detached a couple of times, just hanging there. Go in and find it laying on bottom of shower. Otherwise a quality item.

It arrived quickly but unfortunately it wasn’t manufactured properly. Being a 2 piece scrub brush you need to slide the handle into the back of the brush. The problem is they didn’t cut a big enough groove for the handle to stay in solidly. Every time I use it the brush falls off. So I either send it back or put a screw in or glue it. Not thrilled.

Brush is fine. Not soft per se but that's not what I wanted or expected. Handle length and shape excellent. Big issue tho. Brush won't stay on handle. Keeps falling off no matter how hard I try to drive it on with a large rubber mallet. The only thing I haven't tried is glue or drilling holes for screws. I don't expect or think that I should have to do that. But with this brush obviously I do.
