I tried 4 different converters and this was the only one that would reliably run both PS1 and PS2 games on the PS2.

For the price I think it's worth every penny I tried a hdmi adapter cable for my ps2 and playing God of War was almost unplayable just way too dark this component to hdmi solved my issue now I'm playing God of War on a 65 inch flat screen and it looks beautiful I couldn't be happier with it and will see how long it holds up seems well built

I have a lot of DVDs that I would like to play on my new Samsung TV. This converter box does an excellent job of converting the component video stream and audio to ah HDMI connection. When it displays it is crisp and clear. The problem I have is that it works perfectly with the DVDs that I have made, BUT DOES NOT WORK WITH A COMMERCIALLY PRODUCED DVD (like a movie). With a purchased DVD, I load the DVD and can display the MENU. HOWEVER, as soon as I select the item I want to play the TV gives me a message that it can no longer find the device. The website for more assistance, that is provided in the instructions, does not exist. I really liked this converter, but it only meets half of my need. I need it to play both DVDs that I have made and those that I have purchased. I will keep the converter around for a couple of weeks in the hope that the manufacturer will contact me with a solution to the problem. Otherwise, it will be returned before the return date.

The HDMI chip failed in my Wii U, so I got this and a Retro HD YPbPr cable to see if I could still get 1080p output. It worked, and with no noticeable delay. You will still have to change your Wii U output settings to Component > 1080p otherwise I got a black and white screen.

Functions just as I expected, and desired.. perfect unit for my needs to transfer component signal to HDMI for my TV without component inputs...

Terrible quality blacks are washed out and any dark scenes or dark game levels are unwatchable or unplayable, because you cannot differentiate anything all the blacks just blends into everything and produce washed out uninterruptable picture.

Me and the mrs are really sad and still enjoy playing Tiger Woods gold on the old xbox. The new tv we bought didn't have any of the scart or rgb ports. This worked amazingly well and the picture is better than we used to get. Many more round have been played.

Been using with my ps2 for around a year now and is still working absolutely perfectly, haven’t even had to think about it again after I installed it.

Works great! Used on a 2017 samsung 55" smart TV to run a ps2. Some games look better than others, but the image is sharper than samsung splitters. Games like socom look a little sharper, still some blur. But games like Nfs Underground 2 don't have much image quality increase from the standard rca/component splitters.Still worth it though.

Really useful bit of kit for a PS2, worlked fine straight out of the box. Dropping one star as I do get the occassional black out for a couple of seconds on the screen and/or audio. I wonder if it is a power issue to the box, so I may try a >5w plug to see if it helps. It upscales the image as well, so lovely text, and rough edges generally smoothed out. I previously tried a cable that the video was dark it made everything unplayable, no brightness or lagging issues with this box at all.
