Poor Packaging
To be clear I never tried the seasoning so the review is not a reflection on the taste. It smelled incredible and I wished I could’ve tried it at least once. I purchased this one and the southwestern chile I think it was. Both of them broke. The container is sleek, but slippery and the glass is paper thin. It cannot withstand even a slight tap. The cork caps were pushed down low and heck to get out. I tried a knife, fork, finally I had to drill a nail into it and pull it out. That’s when one of them broke. Annoying.

A Reviewer's dilemma
So, I love to make paella. I've tried dozens of different recipes and enjoyed the complex spices and fiddly cooking techniques that make for a great paella. Rumi's paella spice blend offered hope for a quick, throw together midweek paella that wouldn't shame the cook.So I ordered the paella spice blend in its glass, PBA free container, and got glass shards mixed with a fragrant spice blend when the crushed package arrived. Amazon gave me a credit. No problem. In the meantime, I found the same Rumi spice blend at a local gourmet grocery (for a dollar more) and brought it home. I tried it, enjoyed both the blend of spices and the ease by which I could whip up a fake paella. (A little white rice for us, the Rumi spice blend, a lot of seafood, a few peas and a big bottle of wine on the side.)So while, I'm not officially reviewing the Amazon purchased product, I think the spirit of flavorful enjoyment prevails. I liked the Rumi product and will use it again. (Although I don't think I'll mail order it in the future.)

Missing saffron
This has a lovely flavor. However, I could not taste the saffron which is an essential flavor of paella. I had some handy and added some. It is listed in the ingredients as Rumi Saffron. I'm not sure what that means. This is a nice company and I hope that they will consider adding additional saffron to their product.

Smells amazing
Good news: the packaging is very pretty, it looks super cute sitting out on a spice rack. Also it smells great as soon as you open up the shipping packaging. So far I've tried it on pork and also roasted potatoes wedges, very tasty on both if you like warm spices. The downside of that is that the packaging isn't airtight and if you aren't going to use it pretty regularly transferring to an airtight container might help with the longevity of the spices. There aren't anti-caking things in it which is great for purity but a little annoying to chip out pieces to blitz in a spice grinder or mash into smaller pieces without that.

Amazing flavor!
I used this product to make mulled hot apple cider on thanksgiving. I put the spice in a large drawstring mesh tea bag, then I let it simmer in the apple cider in a crockpot on low for a few hours. This was the most amazing mulled cider I have had. Many mulling spices basically are apple pie spice, this one is eleven spices, many exotic, including saffron. It imparts a deep and complex flavor other mulling spices I have used did not. I was surprised at the value of this mulling spice. For such a high-quality product, the price is quite reasonable. I will definitely purchase Rumi mulling spices again.

Got it in the mail and love it. .
Been a Rumi costumer ever since they came on the SHARK TANK. And I love the fact they buy directly from farmers.

Great spices!
I was hesitant to buy this after reading about the problems others had getting the cork out of the bottle, but I decided to give it a try. The cork was taped to the bottle and came out easily when I pulled the tape off. The spices were fragrant and delicious when I used them on roasted beets and sweet potatoes. I also really like that the spices are responsibly sourced.

Good combo spice to add a little kick.
I really like this spice. It adds a peppery spicy kick to things without being super hot. Yes it has saffron but it is the least amount of anything. I use it for steaks and chicken and sometimes to add a littl kick when I doctor up something that's basically premade.
