Kinsa Smart Ear

We have the ear thermometer and it is the niftiest thing! I love that you connect it to an app and it will keep track of the last time it was used, what the temp was, who it was used for, what their symptoms are, and suggests care options. I feel like I get an accurate reading each time. Having a sick kid or being sick yourself can be stressful and this eases some of those details that can easily be forgotten (last time temp was taken and what it was, the last time meds were taken, etc.) and displays them in a timeline in the app. The app is easy to use and keeps everything in one place and is sorted by family member. You can add notes, reminders, a diagnosis, medications, and symptoms. It also tells you what illnesses are going around in your area, if you choose to opt in on that feature. You can also add your child’s school if they participate in using the app. Even if you don’t use the app, this is still a great tool to have in your medicine cabinet! It is absolutely worth every penny!

The Kinsa Smart Ear Thermometer has been a huge help to our household! It’s much more convenient than trying to hold the tiny stick thermometers under my toddlers arm and him squirming away. This takes a couple seconds in their ear, and you immediately get the reading, and you can connect to the app! The app helps you keep track of symptoms, whose temp you’ve taken, and how many COVID and flu cases are in your area.

This is my second thermometer by this brand. I have the oral/axillary thermometer ABs it’s amazing. Accurate, reliable, synced to my app. It’s great! I have a 2 yr old and I wanted to use this cause it’s easier than an axillary temp and he’s too young to do an oral temp. It synced up easy with my phone but when I felt my son get a fever, it was reading anywhere from 99-102. Way too big of a range. I’m a nurse and I know how to use a thermometer. Thankfully I had their axillary thermometer. One star for this one, five stars for the axillary/oral version!

LOVE. I had it for my first and loved it got a new one for my new baby and I swear it’s the only thermometer that has ever worked and been accurate plus the app features make it soooo good for multiple children. Worth the money!!!

Fantastic, elegantly designed "smart" thermometer. Not only takes temperatures quickly and accurately (and easily via the ear), but also is paired with an intuitive, value-added app! The app is super easy to use (and setup) and allows you to create profiles for each family member, diagnose illness, get recommendations and take action on next steps, track temperature/illness over time, track medication, etc. 10 out of 10 and would definitely recommend. Now that Kinsa is here, I don't think I will ever buy a "non-smart" thermometer again!

The Kinsa ear thermometer meets my needs, it is quick, easy, and accurate. I am satisfied with the product. I rated 4/5 easy to use only bc you have to use the app, which is easy but it would be nice if not using the app was also an option. I rated 3/5 for value because this item was price gouged- I needed it during the start of the pandemic and it was one of the only seemingly reliable thermometers available under $100. I bought it for $75, prior to pandemic and on target website it sells for $35-40 (but target is out of stock). I was desperate bc I work in healthcare but couldn’t wait until I get to work to take my temps daily before my shift

This is the second one I've had. The first one started to read very low, though I kept the sensor clean. The warranty is way over on the first one. Let's hope that the new one lasts longer. The new one works great!

This thermometer scans fast within 1 second, accuracy is close within 0.1-0.5 error compare with my other head thermometer. Is simple to use if not for the ignoring app and limited features compare with other device out there. The ignoring issue I have using this is every time when is turn on it will show "APP" status, because it's always trying to connect to a mobile app. And there is no option to disable this if I don't want to use or connect it. It simply becomes very ignoring as you need to wait for it to be done or fail connection before using. I just want a quick simple scan without toggling it with some silly app on my phone. also why do I have to using the APP to get the most features out of this? why it can't do everything on the device ? It needs to have more than one button to access other information like other device on the market. Second issue is this can only scan on the ear not forehead or other objects, there are other device for cheaper and have more these feature than this. For something that state its 2019 upgrade, yet still behind the time with useful features when you don't want to use their app.
