Fit good and stay in place in shoe
Before I got heel protector, I already had an open blister on back of my heel. Protector felt good, stayed in place without sliding around. And my heel did not re-blister! After I heal completely, I’ll most likely not get another blister. Thanks for a good product.

Excellent solution to a vexing problem!
I bought a pair of shoes I loved (and couldn't return) that hurt to wear. And then I bought another pair from a different company that gave me the same problem. The back of my feet were blistered and painful from shoes I wanted to wear but couldn't try on before purchase. So I looked to these shields for a miracle. And while they aren't miraculous if your shoe just doesn't fit, it does allow you to break in shoes that do fit but have a troublesome part that gives you a blister. I've used these on three pairs of shoes. One two of the pairs, wearing the shoes with the shield broke in the shoe after a half dozen wears and I can wear these shoes without the shield. For the third pair of shoes, I just bought them too small and these shields help prevent blisters, but doesn't take away the discomfort. I have recommended these and would buy them again if they were to break down. I've had them a year and worn them 2-3 times a week. They are as good as new.

UPDATE EDIT
UPDATE July 2, 2024: Maybe I jinxed myself raving about this product. Because I wore my sneakers with the shields the other day and I ended up with a raw blister on my back heel. Maybe over time it compresses and it becomes no good? I do wish these were 1/8th of a inch taller in the back.Purchased August 2023. I don't usually rave about products but these saved the back of my heels! I have a horrible time with most shoes giving my blisters in less than 15 minutes of walking. I have these shoes I love and I couldn't break them in. I put these in and no pain. I can't even feel them in my shoes and I don't wear socks. I haven't tried them in my docs yet, that's the next test.

You forget they are there. Protects well. Should be the mainstream design for heel guards.
Seller responded to my inquiry quickly. I learned that the mens and womens were the same, just different packaging. Great for women who have large feet, like I do. Having cerebral palsy, plantar fasciitis and Achilles issues, these don’t look like they would do much but they help, and smaller heels in comparison to the rest of my foot, everything gaps. Also great for any shoes or boots that are flexible in the back like Converse. I like that they don’t have adhesive as most adhesive ones don’t stay on long anyhow. They did move around a little, but that stopped after lacing up, and I quickly forgot about them. I may try them under my orthotic. Since the wound is healing from where my ankles were rubbed prior to having any heel guards I think they will be even better once that’s completely healed. Even with that healing, I have felt much less rubbing and my boots have felt good today. I wish these came in a pack with 2 pairs.

Saved my feet and new shoes
I never write reviews, but this deceptively simple, little product now is on my list. I have a heck of a time finding cute, well-made shoes for my janky feet. Recently bought an initially perfect pair of Vionix kitten-heel pumps that subsequently began to rub the back of my heels raw. This product corrected the issue altogether! The shield slips under the heel of the foot inside the shoe and extends up to the lower achilles. No more rubbing and a very comfortable fit. Bonus: it can be positioned so that it's dang near invisible. Material seems good quality but will buy an extra pair in case product disappears. Wow. I just wrote a massive paragraph on a shoe insert...

A little too short
Seems like they would work for really short shoes? My dress shoes are not tall in the slightest but these still fall short of protecting my heel from the hard, unyielding lip of the shoe. Could be 1/4" taller or maybe even less and they'd be perfect. Guess you could put insoles under them.
