Since we remodeled one of the bathrooms and added an arched doorway into a "tub room," that exhaust fan was totally inadequate. Based on the reviews of these fans being extremely powerful and quiet, we purchased two of them. The reviews were spot on! Both fans produce a soft "whirring" noise that is barely heard. I left the fan off in the bathroom with the separate tub room, took a shower, and let the two rooms totally steam up. In less than ten minutes all steam was gone on mirrors and the window in both rooms.One thing to be aware of (and why it clears steam so quickly) is the 6" exhaust tube. Most fans are 4", so new roof vents had to be installed.We did a lot of research before purchasing these fans, and the prices varied a great deal on different ones. These fans were under $100 and worth every penny.
