It works! So far so good, we're just beginning the school year so I can't testify to the endurance but it seems like a sturdy little sharpener. Extremely effective. Very sharp points, consistently. I love having a pencil sharpener that can handle the job it was built for without squealing or stopping mid-pencil. Eats it right up until you stop pushing. Grab one for yourself, it's worth the cost of replacing a junky one from W*****t that you just spent $15 on. Go for it, you'll be glad you did. At least I am. This product comes with a promise to donate a dollar from each sale to a faith based charity.

Original 5-star review by me:Works very, very well, and not nearly as loud as I thought it would be. A couple of other ones I've had, of other brands, have been louder. This one is awesome!! Glad I bought it!Follow-up just a few months and pencils later:It didn't take long before this sharpener did not work so well anymore. I was very excited about this one, so dissapointed that it didn't last. It still sharpens, but it takes a long time. It is just so slow! I don't think that it's not sharp anymore, it's just the speed that it's going at.

So far works great. We sharpen about once a week, 2_3 pencils. Haven't tried color yet but I'm sure it will be fine. Low noise. Cool to watch shavings for kids. Really happy. I hope I get years working fine out of this purchase which I foresee I do. Product was pristine condition when arrived. No refurbishes here. All in all happy if it continues to work a couple more years as it does now. By the way, shavings do not fall all over the place when cleaning as other products do. It all remains in cup when cleaning with no mess.

tatji Classroom Electric Pencil Sharpener is perfect. I use it to sharpen my colored pencils for Adult Coloring books. It's powerful and easy to use for my 80yr old hands. I appreciate that. Another thing I like about the tatji sharpener is that it does NOT take off a large amount of my pencils to keep them sharp; hence the pencils last longer. I bought on for my daughter and she also loves hers.I highly recommend tatji sharpener for everyone.

I am a teacher and after reading the reviews thought this would be able to hold up in a classroom for a little while. It lasted about 1 week with my 9-10 year olds before they were forcefully pushing their pencil into the sharpener because it would not sharpen as well as when we first got it. It is also kind of loud for my room and distracting, so I had to return it.

I was confused as to which electric pencil sharpener I should buy. I teach art classes to children and adults and the sharpener is used quite a bit. After looking at dozens of possibilities I decided to get the tatji sharpener. I am totally pleased with it's performance, the noise is soft, it is a small unit taking up little space, the shavings cup is clearly visible and easy to empty, and the price was perfect. Would buy again in a heart-beat.

I work in a school library. About 200 kids are in and out of the library everyday. This sharpener is awesome! The kids are able to use it without breaking it and it really does sharpen well and fast. It is easy to empty as well. I have been through so many sharpeners before, this is my favorite. If you are looking for a classroom sharpener, here it is! Buy this one!

Sharpens pencils very well..... a little louder than I expected and, although the pencil sharpening quality is top notch, it's a little slower to sharpen than I expected too.Also, mine is not balanced perfectly level as it has a slight rock to it when placed on a perfectly solid level.Recommend the sharpening quality but not the unit as a whole.Amazon delivered as promised.
