I am a caterer so I always have sterno gel on hand. I take one container of gel and spoon it into each holder of the pots and that's plenty because you don't need alot. The best part is that you can melt your cheeses or chocolate right on your stove in this pot and then transfer it to the table. I recommend turning your sternos down as low as possible because once the fondue of hot it doesn't require high heat plus it can stick. But even if it does stick i just use a scotch Brite with light Scrubbing and it comes up easy. Rub them with a little oil before storage and good to go.
