Is the memory card needed a microsd?

Hi thanks for your question! Yes. A micro SD card is needed. In addition the micro SD card should be class 10 or above, and maximum support 32GB. Hope this help. Thank you.

Have just purchased the Dudubell dash cam 1296P, and fitted into my car, and over the last two days of use, it keeps shutting its self off.

Yes I have got one and no problem with it. The only time it goes off is when I turn the ignition off. Check your settings it maybe something you have missed in there.

Does the screen display stay on all the time it is recording?

Dear customer, thanks for your question! Our dash cam has a screen saver function. When you hope the screen display stay on all the time it is recording, you can turn off screen saver in menu settings. Or you can set up screen saver in 30 seconds, 1 minute or 2minutes. Hope this help. Thank you.

does the memory card need formatting regularly? or can i just leave it to loop record until I need to watch a recording?
