I won't go and dis any of the models of popular stirring plates out there. I bought one, then ended up buying a set of ten 1" stirring bars to compensate for the inadequacies of the stirring plate I purchased, while at the same time buying another stirring plate for twenty bucks more than the first, and found that the new plate I bought totally rocked while the first one was mediocre.As far as the magnetic stir bars are concerned? Well the new plate works well with any of the stirring bars I have, and now I can use any of my magnetic bars without issue, but these won't perform like you want them to if you get a crummy stirring plate.I really like these, however, and when I want more "bite" in the solution to be stirred, I use these instead of my smaller 1" bars. These are affordable too, which is important. I highly recommend these.

Very fast. And only 2 inches in length(sorry I’m boutta go do something. Not gonna think longer). These things spin center for me. Maybe I got lucky. Ionkno. Thanks gangsta🙂

These magnetic stir bars are Amazing! I was worried that it would be different than what was advertised but it turned out to be great. 5/5 stars. I would define recommend this to anyone who is looking for magnetic stir bars.

Out of balance anything over half speed of stir plate is to fast.

I should have listened to the other review that said the same time. I could only get one of my stirbars to actually work (and even that one is slightly off balance). This was by far one of the worst purchases that I have ever made on Amazon.

A couple are spinning off center, and a couple are spinning properly. Not sure what would cause that but not realizing that before i used them screwed up my experiment as it was done sterile so i was no longer able to open the container to swap them out. Buying cheap stir bars cost me 5x that amount in a failed experiment. My bad.Otherwise the other couple work perfect. I just suggest you test them before relying on them. Stupid mistake on my part not to test them so i suppose I'll give them a 3 star.

The large size magnetic stir bar certainly has a much stronger vortex and thus the stir power more than other products. Great stuff for a great price.Works better than the other pill shapes I have used.

Not much to say here. These stir bars are a niche product, and they do what they’re supposed to do. They work just fine on my stir plate.
