CORNAT TEC364897 Toilet Seat Hinge with Mounting - Clear

Great item, all pieces as pictured. Both the seat and lid the are slow close too, I didn't receive any plastic fittings other than the wing nut key to do the nuts up, also includes 8 x 15mm screws to attach the the seat and lid. When you have the hinge in your hand it feels like it is only slow close on one of the arms but once it is fitted both and secured in place both are slow close. I mounted them so the long arms were in the middle and attached to the lid, shorter arms to the outside and to the seat.

Just what we wanted easy to use good value for money

Product well made, very good quality, easy to fit without the use of spanners and seems to hold to the toilet pan very well. I have reduced by one star because of the plastic tube fittings. I was using this to replace a broken Ideal Standard hinge and found the plastic tube fittings to be too thin and as a result a very loose fit into the toilet seat. I had to salvage the plastic tubes from the original hinges and use those.

This key tool was ordered to replace one that was lost for our new toilet. It was a guess that it fitted, it did. It's easy to use and arrived after only a few days.

I bought this tool because I thought that it would be suitable to loosen and tighten metal wingnuts on the seat bolts of a toilet.The tool does not give enough torque to tighten metal fixings but it may be OK for plastic ones. It is also difficult to use in a confined space. The best tool for metal wingnuts is a took which is unfortunately no longer available on Amazon. It resembles a box spanner with a slot cut in it to receive the wingnut and it also has a hole to insert a round bar to turn it.

After searching high and low for a replacement hinge for this good quality toilet seat, these hinges matched the profile exactly. In an effort to fix, rather than replace the whole toilet seat I bough them. initially they worked fantastically and really are a true match. However extremely disappointingly the thread on the seat hinge has broken after only 6-8 weeks of light domestic use. I cannot see how to contact the seller to query this German made "quality" product but at the price this is severely sub-standard in my opinion. Were it not for this fault I would have lots of praise for the hinges.

Working brilliantly and really easy to install. I don’t have much strength in my hands so never really managed to get toilet seats to sit correctly for long. Messed around to start with getting the order the bolts work holding the seat to the toilet but once that was sorted solid as a rock and not moved even being used and abused by my family. I am going to buy again for another toilet which isn’t broken yet!

Bought it to try and tighten up a dodgy cheap seat installed by Wickes as part of a bath room modernisation. It worked well (better than a pair of pliers and a mole grip) but didn't solve the problem - a new £50 quid seat with decent fixings did though - and a 13 mm socket was all that was needed (thanks B&Q!) Good piece of kit which will probably come in handy at the next house!

Stabiles Produkt, welches an den Standard-Toilettensitz passt. Einziger Nachteil: Die Schreiben, welche die Ausrichtung der Halterung festlegen, sollten soeziell fixiert werden. Mit der Zeit lösen sie sich sonst und die ganze Konstruktion klappert.
