What color is the inside? Is it pure white or more of a cream color?

I would consider it an ivory. It's not stark white (when I compare it to a white mug I have) but it's not too far off.

Is the inside glaze lead free

Have no idea, but I would say no. The environmental hounds would have disclosed that from the get-go.

Is the gray a true neutral gray or does the gray have a bluish cast to it?

It is a light gray that actually has a greenish cast. I love the mugs, but I would have preferred them to be more gray.

Does the handle get hot after being in the microwave for few minutes?

No, they do not get hot in the microwave. I’ve used these in the microwave many times to reheat my coffee and the handles for not get hot. On average, I probably put the cup in on high for about 45 seconds as a reference.
