I'm about average height at 5'9", and I'd still prefer this stand to be a little higher my my preference. Additionally, the higher you set the stand, the more wobbly it becomes. It's still very usable, but less stable. So, if you are either taller person and/or want the option to option to play often while standing, this may not be the best option out there. In terms of portability, it's alright. It's quick and easy to assemble and disassemble, however it's slightly heavier and bulkier than your typical cheaper X style stand, but in return you will have improved stability and more leg-room. A table style stand may be more portable, but still have the same main benefits as this Z-frame, which you find on desertcart for a similar price.
