Not a simple DIY item, but VERY suitable for its purpose
First of all, do not buy this as a general LED tape light cover. This product is meant for two purposes:1) If you have an odd shape you need to bend around.2) if you need lights to be totally waterproof BUT your application won't allow for normal metal strip and diffuser installation. For most applications, you should simply make a slit down the back of the covering with a sharp blade. This eliminates 99% of the problems with getting your light tape inside. Put a popsicle stick or strip of cardboard inside so you don't cut all the way through. Don't use scissors, this will make for a jagged cut that's difficult to put back together neatly. If you need a totally waterproof covering, work in small sections (like 3 feet/1 meter) and use a dab of coconut oil or (not kidding) lubricant that's marked safe for silicone adult toys. You can try threading longer sections once you have some practice, but honestly, I would avoid it.This worked great for exactly what I intended, which was bending around some weird workshop shelving and providing light to a dark corner. Just consider your application first and foremost, and this is a great product.

Fragile
These are kind of ridiculous. I expected them to be open so I could just slip my lights in the tube but they are just a rectangular tube that is only open on the ends. There is a string inside, I guess to either pull your lights through (I couldn't even pull the string through let alone the lights) or to cut the side of the tube. I tried cut the tube and that was not a good idea. It worked for a foot or so then it cut through the lens portion. From then, I used scissors to cut the side open so i could slip the strip lights in. That worked but here is the next snag. The amount of hardware was not enough. I had to scrounge around my house to find about as many screws as they sent me. At least they sent enough of the mounting pieces. Overall, I mostly like the look. I was hoping the mounting pieces would be made out of plastic but they are made out of the same material as the tube (silicone rubber). Due to this, i had to use both mounting screws because the rubber mounting pieces are very delicate. Now the strips have a gap between the trim piece of my banister instead of being right under it. Not too big of a deal. Kind of a pain in the arse for what these are though.

Product has some faulty design issues but overall will work
I like this product but there are a lot of issues that I have because I believe most led light strips are too big for this. I have to cut the back down the middle and place my lights inside them because the front piece is not removable like most led light strip channels. I am installing these in my room all around my ceiling which has a curve going down so I needed something flexible to make it work. These seemed like it would be good and look nice. Although when I install these it will take a lot of time and effort to make it work it is worth it because most other channels that are flexible seem to be more expensive and not give you nearly as much as you could need for going around a whole room. But if your looking for a flexible led light channel and willing to deal with the long efforts of making it work then I’d say definitely worth the money. I know it’s more work but if u just cut the back out the lights in and then put double sided tape on the back to keep the back closed and then just peel and stick it to wherever you want then it’s 100% worth it trust me. Luckily I had already bought some double sided tape specially for led light strips it will work perfectly and I have 82 feet of that, double what I need but in the end I know if I put in the effort I can make this look super nice and you won’t even be able to tell that anything was cut or there was any issue. If you’ve managed to read this far then just buy this lol it’s not that hard to do just take some time and patience.

Difficult to Thread but Useful
We used this for making a bicycle light and was just what we needed. We had 71" segments. We were successful in carefully getting the light strip through the channel for 5-6 feet then it would get stuck. We had to cut through from the back to make it work. Also, although this is a reflection on our project not the product, we had a hard time finding a way to attach the channel to tires. Silicone glue did not work. We ended up using the clips and screwing them into the tire (which didn't need to hold air so ok :)).

Works well for my application
I only needed one meter sections and liked the result for my application. Didn't take that long to thread at that length even with the low quality (crimped, backing coming off) WS2812 material I was using. Hoping to see people come up with strategies for dealing with longer pieces as I can see how challenging those could be.

nearly impossible to pull leds through this thing
This is probably my first review and I had my batches of good and bad products on Amazon. over the years I bought thousands of items and I imagine my frustration with this one so I felt compelled to write this.when I looked at the size of this thing at first I thought it's going to be tough to get LEDs through it, good thing that I needed to do just 3 5ft pieces... Oh was I wrong... it's impossible to get anything past 2-3 ft in this, not to even mention that you have to figure out how to cut it and keep pull string in. Good thing I have an engineering degree for this. And I also forgot to mention they only give you 2-3 inches of slack on the pull string on each side. So once string slips you are screwed. you have to pull so hard on this string that twice it broke for me. I ended up slicing it open and gluing it back together. Good thing I did not need to use it as water proof for my application.Word of advice to seller... make it a notch bigger and provide few extra feet for string. please send me a video of someone pulling 5050 led strip through whole 16.4 ft, I would love to see it.
