Why is there no printing on my blades?

At some point after Gillette purchased this brand from its original Czech owner and moved production to St. Petersburg Russia, they switched from the black ink printing with the consecutive numbers at the corners we're all familiar with to a new format consisting of etched shadow lettering with a lot code at the non-cutting edge, with the back of the blade completely blank. For all intents and purposes, they're the same blade. Now, if your blades are -completely- blank, it could either be due to a production error on PPI's part OR, even less likely, they could be fakes. I can tell you that Astra SPs aren't a commonly counterfeited blade, however.

What is the number 1,2,3,4 for?

Some shavers are not double sided. The numbers let you remember whether you have used that side of the blade. After rotating and flipping the blade you have four sides to use.

Do these fit all safety razors?

Blades have a slit down the middle that also has three holes punched along it. It's a universal fitting system, sort of like Ethernet cable or a USB. Any blade will fit any razor.
