No Cow Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Vegan Protein Bars, 12 Pack

I love these bars. I've gone through four boxes over the last few months and plan to buy more. I get the peanut butter cookie dough flavor, which I think is delicious. It's hard for me to get all of the protein I need and these are a great way to ensure I'm getting it! Now, a few things - They don't have much sugar, but they do have stevia sweetener. I like the taste of it and it doesn't taste artificial to me. Just subtly sweet. However, if you are used to protein bars that taste like candy bars (which I hate) than this isn't the bar for you. - These are NOT a meal replacement. They are more like a protein supplement. I have made the mistake of thinking these will hold me over for a meal and getting very very hungry (especially if I'm working out.) They are only 170 calories so they are again NOT adequate for replacing meals. I tend to eat them with a light meal (something with complex carbs or good fats) or as a snack. - Some reviewers say they taste chalky... they have 20 grams of protein in them with nearly no sugar... but I still wouldn't describe the taste as "chalky" - again, subtly sweet and the texture is thick and chewy, though not like stuck-in-your-teeth chewy. I have with a drink because it definitely does make you thirsty. My only complaint is the price... it's definitely worth it for what they give you, but as a college student, obviously I would like to find cheaper alternatives. The other thing is they use palm oil, which is terrible and IMO avoidable. But I can't find another vegan bar like this one.

I switched from a bar a loved to these because they were the lowest saturated fat & sugar containing bars I could find. I eat the chocolate peanut butter and the taste is just ok, but they fill me up on the go. I guess they get the job done, but I don’t enjoy eating them. The last two boxes I received seemed to be slightly less dry so atleast that’s a plus.

Don’t know why anyone would sell a compacted sawdust protein bar, but alas No Cow’s “NEW Peanut Butter Cup” takes the crown. This is, without a doubt, one of driest and chalkiest tasting protein bars I’ve ever eaten. I do not recommend anyone purchase these unless you really enjoy eating an overpriced and flavorless protein powder in the shape of a bar. Yikes!

Extremely dry. Like it’s insane how dry they are. Like if I ate this on a hot day after a workout I’d choke. It’s like sandy and the texture turns like the squeak of a balloon after you chew it awhile. Pretty flavorless too. I got these because they’re a little higher protein than a TruBar, RX Oat bars, GOMacro bar but those are all WAY better tasting. I’m not sure I’d get these again… but ya never know.

Ich finde die Riegel super, von allen bislang probierten veganen Varianten waren das die leckersten. Ich persönlich hätte nichts dagegen, wenn es die auch mit Schokoladen-Überzug geben würde (auch wenn das die Kohlenhydratbilanz ein wenig nach unten ziehen würde), aber auch so gibts eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

Ich finde diese Riegel echt lecker. Es gibt nicht viele Proteinriegel, die alle meine Voraussetzungen erfüllen: ohne Milch, glutunfrei, ohne hinzugefügten Kristallzucker (oder Rohrzucker), aber trotzdem eine vernünftige Menge Proteine (nur Kohlenhydrate tut es einfach nicht) und schmecken sollen sie auch noch. Diese hier erfüllen diese Vorgaben - und ich finde den Geschmack echt lecker.

Now Cow - Bars sind von den Nährwerten her wohl die besten veganen Proteinriegel, die man in Deutschland bekommen kann - mit Abstand. Leider kein bio und der Geschmack ist definitiv nicht lecker. Aber das sind die wenigsten Riegel mit so hohem Proteingehalt und kaum Kohlenhydraten oder Fett - lecker werden die in der Regel nur, wenn noch chemisches Zeug untergemischt wird, also lieber ohne. Man bekommt ihn definitiv gut runter, so schlecht ist der Geschmack dann auch nicht. Man gewöhnt sich auf jeden Fall daran.

Für meinen Bruder zu Weihnachten besorgt! Er verträgt keine Milchprodukte und Fructose. Ideal sind diese Riegel für Menschen mit Unverträglichkeiten!
