I use this soap for my dishes. I was previously using another brand starting with an “N” that came in a square crock. That brand was fine but didn’t last long. This soap is so much better! I love this soap! It smells good but is hardly noticeable. I actually wish it had a stronger smell. The ingredients are all natural and I love that it is a generational soap with history. It works very good. Gets my hand washed dishes clean, lots of suds and takes care of the grease with no problem at all. This soap is also gentle and doesn’t bother my hands at all. It fits in my square crock perfectly. And it lasts for months! I will continue to buy this soap. I’m also going to try it in my laundry. I’m going to make homemade laundry soap and this can be grated and used to make the laundry soap. I’m sure it will work just as well. I can’t wait to try it. If you’re unsure just buy it. You won’t regret it.

My partner bought one of these while we were in Paris. I was skeptical, but it works so much better than regular dish soap. Was so happy to find them here.It may cost more, but the bar lasts lol and just does a better job on grease and baked on gunk.

I ordered one back in May and am just getting to the bottom of it. Yes it did break eventually. No, it wasn't a problem. At first I just used the big pieces. When it got down to only small ones I put them all in old mini dishwasher cup with the spring loaded base (for liquid detergent). It works great. This soap is the real deal and cleans better than any soap I've ever used including Dawn liquid.

One star removed for bad packing. I read the reviews, so expected a banged up block of soap. It's so unfortunate that they refuse to protect this very expensive soap. I bought it for dish washing, so don't care about the dents, and it wasn't too dented to use so I kept the bar. My initial thought regarding the scent was that it smelled like old cooking oil. Unpleasant. However, I let it air out for a while outside of the plastic and it ends up smelling like Dr. Bronners or other unscented soaps. It works remarkably well. I have soft water so your results might be different. I put it in a soap dish, I rub the washcloth, or glass sponge directly on the soap block, and just one swipe washes several dishes. No soap residue left on the dishes. To soak dishes in bubbly water, just hold the block under hot running water and it will give you a sink full of soapy water. The bubbles don't last as long, but the dishes still get a soapy soak. It's a very hard block so I'm hoping it will last a long time and I'll update after it runs out. It's made in France. Comes in a plastic wrap, and a paper box.

I do really like this soap! It works well for dishwashing. I have it on a dowel dish for gripping and cleaning up. It works well for cleaning hands as well, and is very moisturizing. I trust this product on my dishes.

It’s a nice soap but the Amazon delivery was a mess. The package came mangled, taped back together, and the soap was all dinged up and battered. What the heck, Amazon?

The soap dish although simple in design was exactly what I was looking for. Simple and classic, in an off white finish. The dish arrived quickly and was well packaged.

Not only is this beautiful, it can be used to clean almost everything! With no fragrance, this is gentle and smells just clean. An economical and waste-free choice, it has replaced all cleaners in plastic bottles in our home. Don't hesitate trying it!

This soap is nice. It arrived this morning and have not had a chance to do anything with it other than wash my hands but it left a nice moisturized feel. HOWEVER - on my quest to find the most authentic "savon de marseille", I don't think I found it here. Brand name and manufacture contact are in washington USA. Confusing stuff to be sure. My hunt continues.
