Great sounds, not so great accessories.
Let me first say that the loss of one star in my review has NOTHING to do with audio quality. I'll get to that later. The audio quality on these is absolutely unbeatable. I don't mean literally, but at this price point, it's phenomenal. There are very few hybrid monitors because they are difficult to get right. Personally I use the reference black tuners. The bass is very deep and real, as well as accurate and clear. This isn't some generic statement, I really mean it. Deep, deep bass. Not loud, but deep. The treble is very clear and accurate, highly detailed. The misspelling are a week but recessed, but that's by design. Here is what made it loose a star. The hooks are difficult to use. I eventually figured out how to use them, but they provided little benefit. There were only three silicone tips, sizes Slightly Large, Extra Large, Ginormous. The nozzle is so big that I couldn't use tips from other earbuds, not because they wouldn't fit, but because the large nozzle prevented the tips from completely everything my ear and staying there. As a result, I was forced to purchase Comply Foam tips.

upon handling the product I loved the feel and look of it
The first thing I noticed was the packaging. My first impression was that it was "too nice" as if trying to distract me from the product itself. I've purchased items before that ended up being so cheap that I would be willing to bet the packaging cost more to make than the product itself. However, upon handling the product I loved the feel and look of it. Short of the cables, there are no plastic parts on these earphones. The design is sleek and sturdy. The headphones are all wood and metal and they have a very high quality feel to them. After 3 weeks of using them and constantly throwing them in my pockets, the product is holding up great. The design of the cable is one of the better "no tangle" designs I've ever owned. When the cable does get tangled, it's a breeze to untangle. I have to admit that I'm not a fan of over the ear hooks, however, these are so well done that they are a minor distraction. After three weeks the hooks are growing on me, so I'm not sure now if I would rather have them without the ear hooks. The most important part along with the quality and feel of the product is the sound. The Rock Jaw Kommand puts out a dynamic and clear sound that doesn't distort even at a higher volume level. The other thing I love about these earphones is the fact that you can tune them with the included sound filters which can be changed out by simply screwing and unscrewing them. There is a Low filter (bass boost), Neutral filter and a High filter (enhanced mid and highs). I prefer the bass boost because nothing much is lost from the mids and highs. The bass is noticeably more prominent without sounding distorted and without sacrificing clarity of mids an highs. The sound is always crisp, clear and rich. One last thing is the rubber tips. They are very good and great. They are very good at isolating you and keeping out outside sound. The rubber tips are GREAT at staying in place. One of my biggest issues with in-ear phones is that I constantly loose the tips from moving them in and out of my pockets, however these tips are so well built and have such a secure fit that even trying to remove them on purpose is difficult. The only thing I would improve on is the in-line mic and remote. I'd like to be able to control volume and not just pause and play. The mic works great from what I'm told. I like the Rock Jaw Kommand better than my old Shure SE215.

Dual driver (1+1) tunning filters and wooden ( ebony ) sound chamber make these a striking, musical IEM.
Lots of hybrid technology out there. Just as many with changable filter options as well. For some reason the hybrid mix seems to be the hardest to get right. Fortunately Rockjaw hit that sweet spot. Strong responsive bass and a very "vocal" oriented mid range. Highs just have that ba sparkle with out sibilance. A wondeful earphone for female vocals. The area's that can give one pause ( ear hooks, shallow fitment) surprisingly the ear hooks are very comfortable easy to adjust and hold the earpieces in the proper orientation. Thus allowinf the shallow fit to be effect and mkre comfortable than most my other earphones. While this is a dual driver ( 1+1 ) it come closest in sound to my Astrotec AX60 ( 1+2 ) triple and they are very similar and hugely musical. While visually not for everyone although the ebony wood tunning chambers are a superb touch of visual and sonics the fit and sound makes them a clear choice.Update: removable filters on my pair easily come unscrewed. This has happened on a couple occasions ( removed one ear piece to facilitate talking) . Both times I was able to find the filrer and tip. Contacted Rockjaw by email to see if there was a recommended solution. Initial contact promising an asked to give him a day or two. Moving into second week, I'm still hopefully they have a solution.

Great sound ruined by forced hooks...
I loved the sound Sig of the gold tuned kommand. Mid forward, classy bass. I would have kept these for that alone. But the forced built in ear hooks were a foolish design choice. They pull out the earbuds losing the seal, hurting the sound. I was able to turn the ear hooks up to put them in properly but that is a weak fix. Also, I wear glasses. Two hooks on my ears...terrible. My only other gripe is the tuning nozzles being too similar. The names are not accurate. The bass boost gold lives up to its name. A nice gentle controlled bass bump. The neutral silver however sounds identical to the gold with ever so slightly less bass. No real improvement in anything else. The reference black nozzle was the only one I disliked. The mids were recessed....reference with recessed mids?? The bass and treble is identical to the neutral. Not reference....anything with recessed mids is not my sound Sig preference. My sound Sig preferences aside, I just felt they weren't different enough. Still two out of three were winners in my book. Great overall sound. Good build....but those forced ear hooks. Ruined a good thing IMO. Unless your a runner, avoid these....sadly.

Fantastic sound, could slightly improve
Fantastic sound. The BA drivers really make the upper miss and treble very accurate. They have a dark room feel that I'm very pleased with.Fit is pretty good, although the silicone earbud insulation is not my preference. Coming from Shure SE-215's I got really used to the memory foam tips. If Rock Jaw released memory foam tips, these would be 5 stars hands down. They sound MUCH better than the 215s IMO.

Great Sounding Earphones At This Price
I purchased these earphones for less than £40 to use while training on my indoor bike. I've had several pairs of headphones (Koss Porta-Pro's and Sony sports headphones plus a variety of cheap earphones) but they'd all given up the ghost in less than a year and I was using a wonderful pair of old Grado S60's. The Grado's are my favourite headphones but the large foam pads get wet when training and the thick cable is too bulky. Anyway I read a pile of reviews and ordered the Kommand's. They arrived quickly via Amazon and are beautifully packaged. The over the ear thing may irritate some but it's not been an issue for me. Hook the phones over the ear and slip the unit into place. Once in place the sound of these earphones is superb - especially at the price. I have the standard filters in place and have been using them for up to an hour at a time for a coupe of months. I can honestly say that the sound is so good that on well recorded tracks it's like listening anew with fantastic detail and depth that is warm and hangs together beautifully. Tracks such as Metallica's cover of When a Blind Man Cries, Smoke by A Thousand Horses and Tappin' on Glass by The Bros Landreth are all revealed fabulously. John Mayer's Paradise Valley album becomes a thing of intimate beauty. They stay in place, the cable doesn't tangle too much and they are comfortable too, now that they're fitted with decent tips, which leads me to the only negative aspect of these 'phones. They're supplied with three sizes of silicone tips. I couldn't find any that suited me and would stay in properly so I purchased a set on Comply 5000 tips and the new tips transformed the sound and usability of the Kommands. So, there you have it. Rock Jaw Kommand - fabulous sound, great price 5 stars but for the tips - add a set of good quality tips and they're brilliant.

Nice buds but the arm is inconvenient and the tip fit poor
I have three main issues with this earbud. (Two of which I could live with IF I could get them to actually fit)The over-ear arm is uncomfortable and a pain for anyone who wears glasses, and can actually help pull the bud out of your ear. This second point is entirely personal, but I cannot get the buds to seal properly. If I could I'd keep them but this is such a disappointment. I wish they came with foam tips as an option ( like my old Shures). The interchangeable filters are incredibly easy to unscrew. Pop the bud in your ear and your in danger of loosening them, and they rely on being screwed in to work. Nice idea though and there's a discernible difference between them.Having got that out of the way.The cable design seems to really help avoid tangles ( unlike the over ear arms)They look great with a mix of wood and metalThe box they come in is OK but a bit of a distraction. The button to skip , pause etc works great, but no in line volume sadly. The sound ( when creating a seal in the ear ) is fantastic.Very disappointed but will be returning these

Good sound quality in-ear phones at a much reduced price (£39.99) provided you are willing to invest in foam tips in addition!
Like others have commented, the main issue with these in ear headphones is obtaining a good seal. The standard tips did not provide that for me so I purchased some foam tips from Rock Jaw directly (much cheaper than Comply for example at only £9.99) which has now transformed the sound quality immeasurably. Noise isolation is also hugely improved as well. So if you factor in that you need to purchase both together for a combined cost of £49.98 then you should be happy with these as this still represents excellent value in my opinion and you are buying a good quality item at a much reduced price overall. Some have complained about the comfort of the ear hooks but I don't find them a problem - you just need to acclimatise and have a bit of patience (3 minutes!).

Rock jaw kommand
I have shure se215,sennheiser momentum in ear, sony mdr650 and akg k376 and these leave them all for dead. The sound quality with the right recordings and player is outstanding and would require a lot of money to top. With the different inter changeable sound filters they can be all things to everyone.I would agree with one reviewer, they do improve markedly for fitting foam tips but then I don't use anything else.As for fitting, having half a brain and 1 minutes patience will find the best fit and after that it's easier than attaching shure' s.Well packaged, with a simple draw string velvet bag to carry them in which could be improved on but quite simply the best 30 quid I've ever spent on audio.

Do not buy from this seller
One ear was completely non functional upon receiving. The sound from the working ear was very clear and crisp but lacked any bass and was badly fitting.
