**Q: Can these be used in conjunction  with furnace filters  with out cutting down flow rate cosiderably ?**
A: Although I ultimately decided against the purchase based on cost, the company was very responsive, and repeatedly and rapidly answered all my email questions. In addition, they will cut to your specifications. Although some reviewers reported that this product was much less than 0.2 inches, the company specifically told me that the thickness was 0.2 inches. You can always return the product to Amazon within 30 days, if it is not as advertised.

**Q: If I just hold up the cloth will it still filter air as the air flows, if I don’t buy the machine?**
A: No, this is not how filters work. Air must be forced through a very fine media otherwise it would take the path of least resistance and simply move around the filter. Also this is not a filter, It is a prefilter that absorbs odors.

**Q: What are the fibers made of?**
A: They are a soft plastic foam similar to what you find on a window airconditioning unit

**Q: Does this contain fiber glass? Would this be ideal for the insert of a diy n95 mask?**
A: What you could do is add it to the inside of an existing N95 mask to help protect against OV.
