The brightness is equal, and I replaced the bulbs in my overhead cabin map/courtesy light fixture. I had to crimp the socket blades a bit to get a good grip on these lights, but they work well. Very pleased. Just aim them where you want the light to go in your fixture as these are not cob led lights.
