Pebeo Vitrea 160 Glass Paint Outliner is a water-based, opaque dimensional paint available in 10 vibrant colors including metallics. Designed for use on glass, porcelain, metal, and other bake-safe surfaces, it requires baking at 160°C (325°F) for 40 minutes to achieve a permanent, dishwasher, microwave, and UV-resistant finish. The paint is applied via a precision nozzle in a 20 ml tube, offering safe, non-toxic, and washable application until cured.

## Description

Vitrea 160 Relief outliners are a series of 10 dimensional paints in the line of 35 brilliant, intense colors for use on glass, china, porcelain, tile, metal, ceramic, and more. The outliners allow for dimensional effects on the painted surface. They are perfect for highlighting, outlining, tracing, writing and personalizing as well as adding dimension or texture to the piece. The outliners are available in a total of 10 colors including 3 metallic colors. The paint is squeezed from a metal tube and applied through a long, slim nozzle. Gentle pressure is applied to the tube to release paint from the tube. All colors are water based and non-toxic. They are also completely removable until baked in a kitchen oven at 325 F/160 C for 40 minutes. Once baked, colors are both translucent and opaque and have a superb enameled look and the paint is permanent, microwave and dishwasher safe as well as UV and solvent resistant. Conforms to ASTM D-4236.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is different about using this outliner vs. using regular Pebeo 160 black paint?**
A: For me, it is just a matter of preference. If you want your work to look like stained glass - use black. I'm more interested in a different effect.

**Q: Can this be used on candles?**
A: This can not be used for candles because the paint has to heat set in order to adhere to the surface it is painted on.

**Q: My glass is 5 feet long so it cannot be baked. Can I seal this with some sort of clear coat instead of baking?**
A: I'm guessing if your glass is 5 feet long, it will not be something tis not a project that will be used for "consumption", such as a drinking glass.  I believe people bake their projects if it's something that will be used/washed several times.  I do paintings on glass and never bake it.  I don't use anything to coat it either since Windex has caused damage so am scared to try anything.  I have paintings that are 6 years old and still look perfect.

**Q: If used on window glass, will it break in the oven?**
A: I wouldn't think so, because it is only baked at 250 or 275 degrees.  I can put vases in my kiln all the way up to cone 22 which is very very hot.
