Creative Design Japanese Garden Style Bamboo Wood Desk Pen Pencil Holder Stand for Office School（Style 1）

I bought two of these, one from a different vendor. I use one as a pencil/pen holder on the desk and my wife took this one to use for TV remotes (see pics). Footprint confirmed as 3" square and -4/16" tall. Don't recall info saying where it is made. The inside diameter of the box is 2-1/2". In the ad, one pic looks like the top edge might be beveled, but is not, mine is flat and smooth. The finish is not glossy. See pics, I would say the color is more of a medium. Of note, the taller remote is 7-1/2" tall and it sits stable with the second remote in the holder and does not topple over, so suppose it could work for other thinks like make up brushes and silverware. The ad says they use a carbonization process, which is a process to remove water from wood- if true then it's not likely that the holder will dry and lose shape or warp.Interestingly, the box has no visible seams on the corners or anywhere on the outside and the walls of the box are put together with two layers together about 5/16" thick. The bottom has a lip, meaning the footprint is not flat. While smooth and won't scratch the desk, I think I'll put some felt pads on the bottom. The Asian/Garden darker design is inset on both sides so a pen or other item won't scratch it off and is see through. There are no visible glue marks or the like in the entire unit. I'm using this to contain various electronics remotes.Just right for purpose.On arrival, I was dismayed to see that this "Japanese Style" was in fact made in China.

Excellent design - very oriental. The construction is strong and creative.
