Would they stop glasses from sliding off your hair

No idea. I put spectacles on resting on my nose and held in place by my ears. The retainers help by stopping the frames cutting into the ears and do stop the glasses moving forwards.

Do they lift pressure of the glasses on your nose?

I don't think so,but it stops them from slipping so you don't have to push your glasses tight on your nose,

Do these also stop behind your ears hurting?

I suffered with this behind my left ear, the right ear was fine. Worked a treat, no more pain, they were very comfortable to due to being a flexible, soft silicone material.

A reviewer said they are hard to get on the arms with flared ends. Anyone else found that to be the case?

My arms have flared ends, and I found it easy to slip the sleeve on. I admit, I was hesitant about purchasing these due to seeing a review that said they had issues getting them on, but I thought I would take a chance, I am glad I did.
