Hicarer Quartz Clock Mechanism Replacement, Shaft Length 0.79 inch / 20mm

Bought this to replace a quartz pendulum movement for a clock I made. Please be sure to check the clearance you have between the clock face and the inside surface of the glass door in front of the clock face compared to the movement (remembering to subtract the thickness of the clock face from the movement length!) This movement does not include a pendulum (which was fine for me - I already have one). The hands provided were a little long for my clock face. If necessary I could have easily trimmed them to length - I ended up using the original hands which fit well on the new movement. The movement does have a second hand function, which I really did not need - there is a brass button that presses into the end of the movement if you don't use the second hand to improve the look. (the brass button in my kit was already installed on the second hand, but comes off readily.) NO chimes or fake "tick" noise, which I did not want anyway. I installed it 3 days ago - took less than 15 minutes - Instructions are adequate - and the clock has been keeping excellent time since than.. Quartz movements are by definition accurate, but its always nice to confirm that its so. Happy with the choice - would definitely recommend it for a replacement of an existing movement if the length of the spindle works for you.

I used this to replace the movement and hands of a 24" Ballard Designs clock. It's been in the clock for about 3 weeks and is working very well. It takes one AA battery and I wish it took a C so I wouldn't have to keep an eye on the battery or take the clock down often to replace it. It was easy to install. I ordered a different set of hands, and they fit perfectly on the motor. It's true that the pendulum barely moves.

I had an old pedulum clock that belonged to me Dad that was no longer working and needed a motor. This clock movement fit perfectly and keeps realy good time, which honestly I was not expecting. Pay attention to the length of the arm, make sure it will work for you. Also, don't do like me, measure your clock face. The hand were too long for mine and I had to reuse the old hands, just barely got them to work.

I bought an old pendulum Regulator clock for $11 at an estate sale and absolutely love it! The timing mechanism went bad on it so I ordered this one and replaced it. This one keeps exceptional time and has a second hand that the original did not. So for $20 bucks I still have the antique clock operable that I love! I hope it lasts!

Really easy to install, only lost a couple of minutes the first two days. After a month, time loss became for frequent. In the last week, it has stopped completely. If I jostle the clock or open the clock face, it will run foe a couple of minutes before stopping. I'm not going to bother with returns as the cost was not worth the hassle. I'll spend a little more on the next one. Fast Forward: I took a close look at the hands and discovered the convex glass on the clock face was slightly pushing down on the second hand. This effectively stopped the movement. I trimmed 3/4" off of the second hand and it seems to be working. If it holds the correct time for a couple of weeks, I'll bump the stars up. February, 2022. It's still running, however it consistently gains about 2 minutes a day. Fresh battery made no difference.

It's a generic quartz clock movement, with the added pendulum feature, which is strictly decorative, not a functional pendulum that's driving the clock - - the clock is driving the pendulum. It functions well. My only issue was that the hands were way too long for the clock it went into, but a little creative trimming made it work (the old hands used a different fastening method and just didn't fit.) The hands are soft aluminum and can be easily cut with a decent pair of scissors. UPDATE: Movement failed completely in slightly less than two months' use. 30-day window to return it... didn't see that when I ordered it. Won't be buying any more of these.

I purchased this set for a Halloween craft. I didn’t need an item that kept accurate time. I only needed an item that had a pendulum. Upon receiving it, I was impressed with the swing of the pendulum bar. I attached the unit to my project and upon finishing it all, I attached a pendulum. It would not swing. At all. No motion. I thought maybe the pendulum was too heavy so I tried a much lighter plastic piece as a pendulum. The pendulum still would not move. I tried an even lighter plastic pendulum. Again, nothing. Finally, I resorted to making a paper pendulum. The pendulum finally moved! However, not like it does without a pendulum. As you can see from the video, the pendulum barely moves. This pendulum is attached to the unit as it should be, however, this is paper! I’ve never seen a clock’s pendulum made so lightweight it was paper! This unit is a joke if you’re looking for a nice pendulum swing!

It was almost easy to install. The minute hand should fit on the shaft nicely but the metal was a bit burred which meant I had to try and get rid of that to fit it. It is fine but then I bent the hand and had to try and make it flat again. It works great. Very happy. Would be five stars but that tiny little mistake that was fixable

Le mécanisme de mon carillon de 23 ans d'âge, a cessé de fonctionner. Pour un nouveau carillon il fallait compter 250 à 350 € , j'ai tenté l'expérience et c'est une réussite. Très facile à monter et un fonctionnement parfait, j'ai dû ajuster la grande aiguille et la trotteuse, même mon balancier a retrouvé sa place. Formidable, il est reparti pour autant et que pour 13,99€ Merci !!!

Llegó bien, es un sistema muy sencillo, fácil de instalar, y por ahora funciona.
