Almost perfect
I updated my review to 5 stars. Don't trust wiring that says a certain color wire is the reverse light. I did not verify the correct wire and got some bad info. I hooked it up to the brake light wire so the camera would go on and off while backing because easing on and off brake. I corrected the wiring and the camera works as it should. Install was easy and straightforward on 2016 Wrangler Rubicon with 403n stereo. Jscan used to turn camera feature on. The camera itself has a good picture but it cuts out. I have verified all connection but the picture will cut in and out while backing. I do like the license plate mount.

Not Bad, Especially if You Have a Tire Cover
Just finished installing on my 2015 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara with automatic transmission and the factory 430n RHB navigation stereo. Install was pretty straight forward after watching numerous videos on YouTube. The image is about 20 inches off center because the camera is mounted by the license plate light, not in the middle of the Jeep, but that’s okay as I was just looking for clearance when backing up. Connect black wire to ground and red wire to positive on back up lights (white wire with gray stripe). Ignore the red wire coming off the video cable. It isn’t needed. Make sure your connections are solid or you will get a black screen. And, take off the protective film on the lens or the image will be fuzzy. Recommend JScan app and the vGate iCar Pro OBD to flash the system to activate the camera in the 430n RHB radio. Much cheaper than the dealership flashing the system. There is more than enough video cable to run from the stereo to the camera. You wil need the adapter that plugs into the back of the stereo for the video cable unless you already have one. I did not realize this until I started my research. Overall, very pleased with purchase, install, and product.

East install
Install on my Jeep: 1. Remove driver side tail light and License plate light cover/housing 2. Swap license plate light housing with new housing and camera, run wires up behind tail light and make a notch in the bottom of the tail light so you don’t punch the wiring. 3. Off of the tail light wire harness connect the red camera wire to white wire with gray stripe 4. Connect black ground wire from the camera to the black wire of the tail light harness. 5. Fish camera video wire through the rubber gasket between the tail light harness channel into the interior of the jeep by cutting a small hole in the rubber plug with a razor blade 6. Run video wire under carpet to the dashboard of the car. 7. remove dash trim for radio and fish video wire up to the radio housing 8. install Wire harness and connect the video wire and electric tape them together so they don’t disconnect over time 9. Ignore the red wire (it’s for a manual transmission) and electric tape it to the video wire 10. Use the OBD2 scanner with the OBD jscan app and licences to enable the camera. 11. test by putting the car in reverse 12. close everything up and enjoy

Instructions are not clear.
So Let me start by Saying, the camera does work, The license plate light does fit, but you have to be very careful when running the wire through the license plate holder and make sure the right side (camera side) clip actually clips in. The instructions are as clear as mud. the little wires on the camera wire do not get cut. The camera comes stock with Backup Lines and NTSC already active. If you cut the wires, one removes the backup lines and the other change the Protocol to PAL which is the European Standard. the first camera I received didn't work, so Amazon sent me another one. Turns out the wires to power the camera are too thin for the blue splice connectors that come with the camera and the red splice connectors are too small for the jeep factory wiring. I have aftermarket tail lights and had to strip and solder the wires but it is now done and working. I bought a used factory stereo with the NAV in it and bought this camera. I bought the IGo bluetooth OBD Adapter and used the Jscan software to reprogram the jeep to accept the backup camera. The dealer wanted $250.00 to program it for me. took 5 minutes and cost me a total of $60.00 dollars
