The Official LSAT Superprep II Review: Great book - When I first took a partial LSAT at civil affairs selection at Camp McCall, it kicked my a*s. I’ve always breezed through tests: as a junior I made a 30 on the ACT and never retook it, and I made a 99 on the ASVAB. But when I went to take the LSAT years after going to selection, I knew I was in danger of letting my older brother beat me on a test for the first time. This book taught me to beat the logic puzzles, which are the real challenge on the LSAT. Ended up scoring a 161 after just three days of studying. Not an elite score, but plenty good enough for a scholarship at the school I was trying to get into. Review: A Good Way to Familiarize Yourself with the LSAT - I've found this book to be a pretty good resource. They give background on all the question types you may find on the LSAT and suggestions for how to approach them. They include examples from previous tests and explanations for the answers. The book includes 3 previously administered LSATs with detailed explanations for the answers. Unfortunately, they are a bit older, so they don't have comparative reading questions. There is one example included with the background section though. Overall, I think this book is very helpful in familiarizing yourself with the LSAT, learning useful strategies, and getting practice taking actual tests.

Must have
I started this book after having completed all the PowerScore LSAT bibles and it was a good starting point to "try out" the PS techniques on real lsat questions. This book has 3 prep tests along w/ explanations and answers. After PowerScores great info I felt that the tips section of this book was lacking but not a waste of time, simply not in depth enough for me. This is a good practice book and I truly appreciated that the question difficulty was noted, which helped me better gauge my level of understanding. Must have!

A nice starting block for those studying for the LSAT
This is probably the first book you should buy in your LSAT preping. Keep in mind though there are free resources you can find, you just need to google and hunt around for them. You can even join a law school message board/forum and ask around for study materials there. Anyways, this book is a nice start because it offers you 3 tests, explanations for the wrong answers and some strategies for taking the test. It's a pretty easy read and they really work hard to break the test down for you to bite sized nuggets. It's not the last book you'll buy for the LSAT but it works and you'll probably feel a bit more confident in your abilities after using this book.

Invaluable resource
This book is a must. After just one read my untimed score was raised 10 points (on the first untimed test I took after reading the book, I answered 16 more questions correctly than the correct number of answers I'd been averaging on 4 untimed tests I took before reading the book). I don't think it hits on every single question type though, but overall its an invaluable source of insight into how the test-makers think. The language is dense, but it's great practice for the LSAT and future lawyering.

If this is the only book you'll use, get it!
This book it pretty good if you're looking for only one book to prepare for the LSAT. It has general strategies for each section that are useful, but students that spend more than a few days studying will find it inadequate. This is a great introduction to the other test preparation books that are category specific (reading comprehension, logic games, logical reasoning). With just three actual tests, this is just a beginner book--great if that's all you want, but maybe unnecessary for those looking to prepare over a few weeks/months.

If You Need To Know What The Hell Your Doing, This is It!
This is a good starting book for someone who never picked up the exam or knows what he/she is doing. I used this as my starter book to understand what the test questions are and get familiar with the test itself. This is the real deal so you cant go wrong. Keep in mind Kaplan, Princeton Review books are exams made by the company and not the LSAC itself. I would first buy this book then buy the testing company's books to practice more. Then buy the old LSAC actually exams to know how you will do on the real deal. There are a limited number of old actual exams out and a lot more testing company mock exams so practice on the mock exams.

The best way to study for the LSAT is with actual ...
The best way to study for the LSAT is with actual tests. Superprep II has these; unlike the first Superprep, this one only has one previously disclosed exam. The first Superprep had three February exams (typically not released). Superprep II has PrepTest 62 (December 2010) and PrepTest 63 (June 2011). Both of these exams are available in 10 Actual, Official LSAT PrepTests Volume V: PrepTests 62 through 71. If you are on a limit budget just get the 10 Actual, Official Volume V. For about the same price you get 10 exams instead of three. Don't buy Superprep II if you have already purchased Vol V. Unless you want to spend $20-30 for one more prep test it is not worth the money.
