The tubing around these made them better for wrapping our trees. I will say this though, while wrapping my palms, you got to keep the wire TIGHT so they dont roll down the tree and they stay in place. When getting to the end of the strand, one of the wires that were soldered came off. Luckily, I have a soldering gun so I fixed it but most people would have had to throw about the whole strand because theres a weak spot in a bad area.
