Backpack, 3 Day Pass with USMC Logo, Coyote Brown, Sandpiper

Though it's called a 3 day pack, I'd say it is closer to a 1 1/2 day pack.It has plenty of separators in it for organizing what you need and when you need it. When loaded, with cooking gear, sleeping bag, shelter tarps, clothes, and two full canteens , this pack carries very well. The shoulder straps are very comfortable in regards to all the weight being packed. For short hikes this pack is ideal, but if you're planning on a 3 day go of it, I'd suggest a little larger pack to provide more meals on the trail.

So first I bought this pack. Sandpiper of California Three Day Pass Back Pack, Foliage Green But after receiving it I thought that I would like the USMC embroidered pack better, SOC Gear Three Day Pass (Coyote Brown, Coyote Tan USMC) so I started a return of the Foliage Green pack and ordered the USMC pack in its place. After receiving the USMC pack I noticed that the material wasn't nearly as thick as the Foliage Green pack. The layout was identical but the quality (unfortunately) seems to be better with the Foliage Green. The layout of the pack is handy and the USMC embroidery is 5 stars but the quality of the material is what makes it only 3 stars in my opinion.

I like it. Nicely designed backpack with compartments to organize stuffs and comfortable shoulder straps. I agree with a customer, "Sage", this bag is more suitable for 1-2 days travel rather than "three". Lack of side pockets compared to my previous bags of a same size, but not a big deal breaker for me.

As a Marine this is a fantastic back pack. It is very roomy, which it fooled me until I packed it. I fly A LOT for business and a good backpack can be hard to find. I have high expectations for this pack.I do wish it had a small pocket on top along the handle but if that is the worst of the pack then noting to worry about.

Great day back, I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase. I was hoping to get the older version as the materials were a lot thicker than this. Zippers slide up/down easily & it seems the materials are water resistant, which the older versions were not. It is comfortable to wear distributing the weight fairly even, though more padding could have been added. Of course the Eagle Globe & Anchor is the best touch to the pack, I can longer find these at exchanges or clothing stores.
