Excellent book and one of the few that focuses on this poster category. It's full of beautiful, impactful images. Cannot recommend it enough.

They put across a straightforward message in vivid ways and they have the power to counter the lies of the mass media. We will never give up. The unions and the working class have been "decisively defeated" many times. Everyone from Benito Mussolini to Margaret Thatcher claimed to have destroyed the unions. The unions are still here. This book fills a gap in labor history offerings, providing a fine collection of labor and progressive posters that will be of use to historians and a valuable addition to libraries. Very nice work by Cushing and Drescher; may there be a second edition.
