Very disappointed! This lock jammed and my suitcase had to be broken in order to remove the lock!
Unfortunately, this lock did not work for me at all! After opening the package I set the combination and tested the lock before I went to the airport. Everything worked perfectly! The lock opened and closed seamlessly. Got to the airport and TSA allowed me to put the lock on my bag and I went on my way. When I arrived at my destination the lock would not open at all. We tried my original combination. We tried to reset the lock combination but quickly realized that the lock has to be opened first before you can reset it. I watched Youtube videos on how to crack open the lock. Unfortunately, it just would not open so we had to break the part of the suitcase that holds the lock so I had access to my things while on vacation. This was so frustrating! Maybe I received a faulty lock! I am not sure, but I would not recommend this lock to anyone at this point. I would like a refund!

Amazon has lots of TSA approved travel locks to chose from. I chose the Smart Travel Gadgets lock based on its features, in particular the indicator that tells if the lock was opened by the TSA. That indicator told me that my bag was opened for inspection in Denver, which I would not have known as there was no notice left by the TSA. The combination is easy to set, the instructions are clear and concise, and the only gripe I had was the package it came in was kind of hard to open. But this is a product I will recommend to others....and I intend to buy another one or two before my next trip.

Fast hassle free replacement for a defective lock.
I ordered two locks. I was able to set my own combination on one of them without any problem and it took less than a minute. The second lock was another story. I worked with it for approximately 10 minutes with no success what-so-ever. I made contact with Smart Travel Gadgets and within six days, I had received a replacement lock that I was able to set my own combination on, also in less than a minute.I'm very pleased with the service I received with my problem and will certainly shop with them again in the future. I highly recommend their customer service, their products, and their professionalism.

Wa-Hoo Easy-Peasy!
I got the bright green lock and it was so easy to set the combination I was done in ;no time. Then I received an email from Smart Travel that contained a PDF file of travel tips. Really useful tips. Like put your contact information inside your suitcase in case it gets lost the airline can get in touch with you. And it has links to websites where you can find out more information. I saved the PDF file to my computer for future use and to share with friends.

Sturdy, Best Quality
This item is advertised as "Heavy Duty, Sturdy, Best Quality, Durable." NOT!We don't travel much - maybe 2 or 3 times a year. Two years to the day after I bought these locks, we ready to go to the airport. I opened the lock, but it wouldn't close. I tried the combination several times to no avail. Luckily I remembered another lock I could use, or I would have really been up a creek.I contacted Smart Travel Gadgets, but haven't yet to receive any reply.

While the lock was easy for them to access my bag
Purchased this for a recent travel where I had to check my bag. My bag was searched by TSA both directions. While the lock was easy for them to access my bag, and no damage was done, the little button did NOT pop up to indicate the lock had been opened. The only reason I know TSA searched my bag was due to them leaving a notification in my suitcase.

Perfect for international travel
These worked great for my trip to Greece this year. Very simplistic in design, and I love that there's a combination instead of having to keep track of a key. These are not cheaply constructed either. They are very substantial and seem like they will last a long time. The combinations are also easy to set and unlock.

Does the job, seemed hefty enough, no bad things to say
Worked well for our trip out of state. Don't think they were ever even opened. Last lock I had that was TSA approved was cut off and they never put it back on! These were just fine, I think it was a fine quality lock, too.We got the green color to stand out a bit more at the baggage claim.
