These are really nice buffet chafer’s. I had received a lid that was incorrect and the seller took care of it immediately and sent me a replacement in time for my upcoming event.

Everything fit back in the box which is less thsn 7” high x 14”x24”. I bought two of these and rented two that had a base that didn't fold up. The storage container was huge for the rented chafers. It holds a large sterno but I bought the smaller sternos and they only lasted maybe 2 hours. The sterno holder has a pivot cover that can be used for less heat so as to not have the water boiling between the two pans. Its difficult to add a new can of sterno under warm pans of food. The pans held the heat and kept the food warm for 3 - 4 hours. Its hard to tell when the sterno is gone.. We were using these outdoors for a buffet so I purchased water. I used one gallon of water in each pan.

Folks, please understand that you get what you pay for. These do not cost $100 each so do not think you are getting restaurant quality chafing dishes. Having said that, these are superior to the aluminum foil sold at the grocery store. I was catering my son's high school graduation party and the cost of renting chafing dishes was the same as purchasing these. I took a chance and am glad that I did. The stand is sturdy and the leg brace locks in securely (I needed to help it with a flat head screwdriver but it only took a moment. The food trays are sturdy enough to lift out of the oven while full of lasagna! It is true that there are some sharp edges but the cost savings was worth it. You just need to be a little cautious while setting up and washing. I think this is a great addition as I can loan them out to family and friends and get plenty of use.
