Good looking at reasonable price. Perhaps and little more sturdy.

I set this bench outdoors beside a pond with a nice view. The bench has been out in the elements for months now, and shows no effect. It is a 2 seater for 2 moderately slim folks, and a 1 seater for moderately corpulent folks like me. It is very sturdy and doesn't mind having 2 people in it. Assembly was a bit challenging, but eventually came together with all original parts intact and no engineering required. I may order another for another location soon.

I give that score because the back of the seat is plastic, but looks like metal. Only the legs are metal. But if you see the picture it looks good! There was a little damage in one of the wooden pieces. Take into account that you will need a drill to make the under seat holes.

This thing is junk. It's it's unstable and sways from side to side when you sit on it. All screws were tightened down to make sure there were issues, and the thing swayed anyway. Also, the package included braces for underneath the pieces of wood on the seat which do not fit. Three braces, none of which even possibly sit. I bent one with a vise to make it fit, but didn't bother with the others. It's as if they included the wrong hardware for the product. The instructions aren't the best either, but I took my time and ultimately figured them out. I would never even consider buying this product again. Oh ... also, be sure to check the cost for shipping. They low ball the price but charge you an exorbitant amount for shipping. This isn't their fault by any means, but I thought I would bring this to your attention. Save your time, buy something else.

I think this is a decent bench and some of the harsh reviews don’t tell the entire story. First of all the bench is nice looking and easy to assemble. However, it is not made of heavy duty material so it is more appropriate for children or petite adults. I’m not a big guy at about 160lbs and my girlfriend is small as well. The bench is great for us. I have a friend who is a former football player and at 205 lbs he would likely collapse the bench so he sits in our big Adirondack chair:). So this is a good light weight bench but not a heavy duty one.

It arrived as promised. A little slow but on time. The instructions were not the best but easy to follow. The parts were there. Went together quickly and easily. Wife and I love it. Placed in shady spot we enjoy. We expect to have to replace the wood at some point but that is part of the beauty of this design. A good product at a reasonable price.

Pros: Price is okay, sides are cast as described, looks nice when assembled. Cons: wood slats were slightly different lengths and one of them had a chunk out of the end that was finished over so that got through quality somehow, flimsy feeling when sitting down (all hardware is tight and straps are secured to the underside), and most of all the back insert is plastic even though it doesn't say anything about plastic in the description or materials it's made out of. I ordered this as an anniversary gift for my wife and was pretty disappointed when she pulled it out of the box. The wood slats were everywhere and so was the styrofoam packaging that had broken during transport. No big deal, that happens sometimes so we vacuumed all of the pieces off and that's when we noticed the backrest insert was PLASTIC. My thought was to have this bench for many years, put new wood on it as necessary, and reuse the cast iron pieces... I'll be surprised if the plastic lasts more than a year or two. Directions were mediocre (but it's a bench so not a big deal) and assembly did go pretty quickly. Some of the slats were slightly different lengths but the holes were drilled correctly. Overall, it looks pretty if you want something to look at. However, if you are looking for something that will withstand the test of time, look elsewhere. Guess I'll be going to a big box store to purchase her a new bench.
