You can buy it by the pound pretty cheaply, but I didn't want to buy that ...
I was intrigued when I found out that soy sauce powder existed. You can buy it by the pound pretty cheaply, but I didn't want to buy that much in case I didn't like it. So this reasonable priced four ounce package seemed ideal. And it is - I love using it in all kinds of stuff, and four ounces of it is going to last me a long time. So unless you are a restaurant owner, this should be plenty. The cool thing about powdered soy sauce is that you can get the flavor without adding liquid to what you are cooking, like dry rubs for meat. I also frequently use it in salad dressings, where it's nice that it doesn't darken the mixture nearly as much as liquid soy sauce does. I am coming up with new ways to use it all the time.

Pretty good.
Not the full flavor I was hoping for but I guess I'm not going to get that in a low-sodium product. Otherwise good product: versatile and easy to use, dissolves easily. I add it to many foods for a little umami.

Good stuff
While expensive as far as spices go, this stuff is great. I used in place of liquid soy sauce to make a shelf stable burger seasoning and it worked beautifully. Can't wait to try it in other recipes.

Now I can make my own dry rubs... Very flavorful.
There are so many things in this world I never knew existed, and this is one of them. I knew there had to be something like this since companies that make and sell dry rubs have soy powder as an ingredient but didn't know until now that it's not for them exclusively. This has been such a big help in adding flavor and not making the dish runny with the liquid. I'm now experimenting with my own dry rub mixture for flavorful BBQs. There's a learning curve in how much to use to get the right flavor balance but I'm getting there and having fun in the process.

Great flavored powder!
I was unaware of this product until a recipe included it for a marinade that was thicker by using the powder than liquid soy sauce would be. It has great favor and I plan to explore other use, such as rubs.

Great idea!
I have not tried it yet, was saving it for emergencies when I don't have soy sauce. I believe it shall be good though.

This is also known as Tamari Sauce Powder
I try not to eat much salt however when I buy unsalted peanuts, sunflower seeds, etc. I toss a teeny amount of this powder in and it adds nice flavor. For many years now I've been consuming soy - I happen to believe that it's good for the body.

Great taste and works well for making dried soup packages
Really nice. Way better than we thought it would taste. Not as great as brewed liquid but excellent for putting in our homemade dried soup packs.
