What does 8 day movement mean?

8 day movement, means the clock works is geared to run a full week (or 8 days), after pulling the weights up.  Most cuckoo clocks run for a period of only 30 hours (which means you have to pull the weights up, every day).  An 8 day clock is nicer, because you don't have to remember to pull the weights up every day (if you forget, the clock will stop and it will have to be reset and restarted).  Also, if the clock has a lot of detail, you can hang it lower (to see it better), because the weights will come down much more slowly (although, if hung lower, the weights may have to be pulled up every 3-4 days, to keep them from reaching the floor).

Why does the description say "birds and music" ?

The description is inaccurate.  This model does not play music.  Good observation!  A cuckoo clock, with a mechanical music box will have three weights.  Here is how the description should read:Manufactured by Anton Schneider, this authentic 8-day cuckoo clock was hand-crafted and hand-carved in the Black Forest region of Germany. The cuckoo bird calls out, to count the hour; and calls out once on the half hour.Clock has a wooden dial, wooden hands, and a wooden cuckoo bird.There is a silencing lever on the left side of the clock, to silence the clock at night. The weights have to be pulled up weekly (or every 8 days).Cuckoo clock house measures 13.4H x 9.1 W x 6.3 D Inches.

I see 3 different measurements. What are the dimensions, please.

The dimensions in this Amazon listing seem to be in error.  The dimensions for the cuckoo clock, model #8T 102/9, are 13.4 H x 9.1 W x 6.3 D inches.  Keep in mind, that these measurements do not include the pendulum or weights--only the outermost carved areas of the house and carvings.  This clock style was manufactured in a couple of different sizes.  Maybe this item was once sold on Amazon, with different size attributes and that is why you found remains of different measurements in this listing.

Does this cuckoo clock come with the black forest clock association (vds) seal and certificate of authenticity

Yes.  This clock is an authentic black forest clock and it comes with a seal and VDS certificate.  All of Anton Schneider cuckoo clocks will be VDS certified, with the exception of quartz (battery-operated) versions, which do not meet the qualification of "being completely mechanical".
