I bought this as a gift for a friend of mine with newer dreads! At first look the hat was much smaller than I thought it was going to be! I was a little disappointed! Her dreads are a little longer than shoulder length, but they are super thick. I didn't think it was going to fit her, but it does and it looks great! The band keeps the hat around her head very well, she puts her dreads in the hat without a hair tie or headband or anything and it stays on all day! Once her dreads get too long she, it won't be big enough anymore, but we'll tackle that when it comes. For now, she loves the hat and I think it looks great on her! I got the brown brimless one, and the brown looks just like the picture.

This hat is well made but you would have to have very short dreadlocks for it to cover them. You can set it on top your head with your dreadlocks hanging out of it. For someone like me with really long dreads, no. I wouldn't even call it a size large. Why on earth would they not make different sizes to offer more options?

Really good quality tam. I have a large head and it fits me so I'm very happy. I'll buy the other colours when I can. I have shoulder length locs and it fits them well. Delivered 8 days earlier than expected too so that's a winner.
