Beautifully crafted kitchen knives, the handles are comfortable when chopping, slicing, dicing etc. A real pleasure. The blades are super sharp & keep sharp & the sharpener dose a wonderful job of keeping the knife’s in tip top condition. The oak knife block just shows them off perfectly. I’m definitely staying with these in the years to come !

The knifes are perfect but I was very disappointed with the quality wooden knife holder. The wooden knife holder I received was not the same quality as the one shown the sales page. You can see what looks like marks/damage on the wood and a small crack near the bottom of the item. The item is made up of mismatching wood pieces. The signature is also not very clear on the front. I did not expect such poor quality at this price point and from the Robert Welch brand.Edit - 11th of November 2023: After using these knifes for a number of weeks, I find that although the design is visual appealing, it does not support functionality. The knife handles are small and perfectly smooth with no grip. This makes holding them a bit tricky, especially the smallest pairing knife. I am now thinking I should have went with the Global knifes, which have larger, more substantial handles and an indented grip pattern for greater control and support.

It is very easy to review a product that is absolutely flawless.It is like having the Ferrari of the knives. Once you try them, your first thought is "How did I do it without these knives?". All knives cut, especially if you sharpen them well. But the Robert Welch knives are beyond that. They are perfectly balanced, ergonomic, they look very delicate but they are very strong. The knife block looks great and because the knives can be removed from the front I can now easily place them on the worktop under my low hanging cupboards. They perform so elegantly: I never thought that onion and parsley can be chopped so easily, that meat can be sliced so finely. It is really effortless to cut, chop, slice with these knives. It is very important to get the RW knife sharpener, because these are professional knifes, with a 15 degree edge, you don't want to mess that up with a standard sharpener. I am very happy I bought them, it was the best gift to myself ever!

Genuinely beautiful knives and block. Okay that's the aesthetic side. Fantastic to hold everyday knives, very comfortable. Blades excellently formed and the detailing on the handle is part of the metal so will not rub off. Super sharp, curved blades so you can do fine chopping with any blade. Knife block is very practical, perfect for under cabinet storage, and looks great flush against the wall.To echo another reviewer, buy the matching Welch knife sharpener as this genuinely works alongside the knives and easily keeps them super sharp. It can also be used like a whetstone as you can add water to the cavity below the ceramic disc. Great idea.At purchase I was sceptical as I thought the knives may be more form than function but they are actually a perfect balance between look and performance.

These knives are excellent, very sharp and fit well in the hand. The knife block is also well designed and keeps the knives safe but easy to access. The sharpener also excellent for keeping the knives keen. Altogether a joy to use. I hope given the quality that they will last a lifetime. Pricey but better value bought like this as a set.

Works well - stows knives safely - looks good - knives themselves seem to hold their edge well. Why not five stars? Would have liked a sharpener for the price

Wanted WÜSTHOF Ikons but I’m too poor. Got these instead. I’m obviously not REALLY happy but I’m as happy as I can be. They look and feel so nice. Nice to touch, rub, tickle hehe.

This set is really lovely !I am not a chef, I just like having a go in the kitchen, I decided to replace a perfectly good set of Chinese made knives which I purchased 20 years ago for not very much.Well all I can say is what a difference !!!Cutting vegetables etc with well designed sharp knives is so much easier !If your thinking of upgrading your knife set, I would encourage you to do so.The Knives are housed in a solid Oak holder, which looks strong and elegant.Money well spent and will last me a lifetime (25 year warranty).
