ARCTIC P12 PWM PST - PC Fan, 120mm Fan, PC Case Fan, Pressure-optimised

I bought this for the rear exhaust fan in my new computer build as the Focus G from Fractal did not come with a rear fan and have heard good things about them, this exhaust fan, in combination with the peerless Assassin CPU cooler helps keep the entire PC comfortable, but not terribly hot and this is a fairly beefy build as it is as it's based on the Core 7 Ultra processor and Intel A770 GPU so not a light weight and I use it for editing among other things and is my general computer overall.It seems quiet as the whole PC does not ramp up too much as far as fans go as the front 2 are 140mm fans that come with the case, the rear is I believe 120mm.Looks to be of good quality and it's from Arctic and I have heard good things about their fans in general anyway.For the price, can't beat it.

Had an ibuypower fan bearing go out. Got this fan the very next day. Took 10 mins to install and it’s working like a charm. So quiet!

Context: Top fans in my NR200 case started making noise about two years into use. I regularly clean my case and everything, but apparently the bearings in the original fans that came with the case got through QC with too high of tolerances. They were getting noisy with low use (I game primarily on Friday night for a few hours max). Needed to replace them and was caught between choosing Arctic and Noctua fans. I read some reviews and went with these.Pros:- Price; Noctua fans are expensive but are reliable and quiet. I took a chance with these.- Installation was easy; fan dimensions were perfect.- The ability to daisy-chain these two together by default saved me some time and complexity with cable management inside the case.Cons:- Noise; I'm spoiled with two large Noctua fans at the base of my tower and two Noctua fans cooling my deshrouded GPU. These fans are BY NO MEANS loud, but when compared to Noctua, it is noticeable. I game with a headset and it is impossible to hear them.- Quality; time will tell to see if the bearings can survive; these seemed pressure-fitted better than the last ones that got noisy, but if there is any drop when turning the fan over, you're bound to have dust infiltrate the bearings and eventually kill the fan or make it noisy.Overall:It's tough to beat the price and convenience of the daisy-chain cables. I installed and had these up and running in about 4 minutes. Time will tell about the quality, but I'm satisfied and glad I took the gamble here. If I had a higher-end rig, I would get Noctua fans. For now, these are great.

Highly recommend! I’m using it as an exhaust. Has good airflow and it’s not too loud. One thing I did not like about the install was that it doesn’t have the thread for the screws, you’re pretty much creating the thread when screwing in because it has no threads. Other than that, it’s good to go!

Was having weird issues on one of my systems where it just got really unstable after installing an extra NIC. I spent a ton of time trying to find the cause thinking it had something to do with the NIC. After a ton more troubleshooting I notice that the fan splitter was angled towards the motherboard. It was in the worst position possible and likely making contact with jumper pins that stuck out. I'm just lucky that something was not burned out from this. Still a terrible design. Please just make these seperate from the stock fan cable or include something to cover the pins to avoid accidents that could potentially damage hardware.Beyond this these are great fans, they've been compared to much more expensive nf-a12 fans and held their own. Quality is not as good as noctua but for sure a great competitor at this price.

Still works perfectly to this day. I dont regret buying this!Maybe now there are better options but this was the best choice I managed to find back then!!!

I have an RX 580 that has the original fans that are extremely loud. They always oscillate between highest speed and lower speed than it drives me nuts. Replaced with these two, set the fan at constant speed, and the temperature never gets out of 30° c. Completely quiet, if you don't mind them being oversized. I just don't put my PC case cover back on. Absolutely worth the mod.

Used for a ventilation system to remove resin fumes from resin printer. It’s fantastic at sucking air out of a chamber, and it’s completely silent zero count at all. Sometimes I can’t tell if it’s on, and on top of that the build quality is really great too doesn’t feel cheap and they look cool. These are really competitive to noctua fans if I’m going to be honest.

Excellent 120mm fan! 👍PWM by motherboard is great.(ASRock B650 LiveMixer)This will be mounted with a filter for the pusher, also have a second fan in the rear of the cabinet.Setting the pusher fan 100rpm over the rear fan.

Cheap, quiet, high performance. Basically perfect. I'm running 8 of them.

I purchased 8 of these for my new PC case (Lian Li Lancool II Mesh Performance) and all of them work great! They push a lot more air than my NZXT fans but are whisper quiet. According to some videos online there's meant to be some coil whine at around 1000 RPM but haven't found anything to report. Arctic make some damn great fans!P.S. Two of the eight had cracked brackets but I was refunded for those ones.

Pros:Freaking cheap.Black?Freaking cheap.They are quiet compared to some other fansCons:Compared to the £25 Noctua a12x25s, the noise profile is not as warm. There are what seems to be be, bearing noises at certain rpms so rather than use pwm function, these are hard set to an rpm that does not make a noise.Commenting on pure performance, the Artics dont do badly and I think that if I didn't already have a12s, they would get a higher rating. It's the air noise they generate though that isn't as pleasing to the ear as the Noctuas. I can live with it even though they aren't as efficient as the A12s - 3/5 for performance.The daisy chain cables could be shorter but it is a great feature. It's a fan though. Quality of build 5/5Price:For one brown fan, I could buy 5 of these. And that's where these excel. Yes, the performance isn't AS good, but it's close. The PWM function is useless but I can avoid that with fixed rpm and just buying a few more fans (case permitting)I love my browns, but justifying £75 for one radiator instead of £15 didn't sit right. At a very low rpm, these fans don't move enough air through the radiator to keep the liquid cool.BUT comparing it to a £25 fan isn't a fair battle.Considering that these are in the case as opposed to my NF12s and NP12s speaks for itself though.The fact it can take on the battle in the first place makes this a 5/5 fan. True value for money.
