It’s imparts soft black mascara. Not at all clear but is very natural looking.

if applied once a day, how long will a tube last?

It lasts as long as any other tube of mascara. All tubes should be replaced every 3 months. I love the mascara. It comes right off at the end of the night. No clumps in your eyes either. Definitely worth the money.

Is this tuned mascara?

I am not sure what you mean by "tuned", but it is excellent. Zero clumping and my lashes are long. People ask all the time if I am wearing fake lashes. This mascara goes on clean and light. I have bought many other expensive brands, but will never use anything else!
