Lyman"E-ZEE Trim Pilot for 300 AAC Black-Out

Solid guide for my Lyman E-ZEE trimmer. I have since switched to a power Frankford Arsenal Platinum trimmer. But I can still use this pilot if I change out the Frankford trimmer head. Which uses a shoulder mount for the cartridge. I like the idea of a pilot guide like this instead. There was some corrosion on this guide when I got it (as other reviews have complained) or it would have given 5 stars. It is no big deal to me & doesn't effect the use. It just looks odd.

Much easier to use than the Lee trimmer. My fingers thank me already!I'm using this and the power cutter to do the final trim on my brass for making 300blk brass out of 5.56x45 cases. It comes out to spec, is easy to use, and saves my fingers from getting bloody since the chucking piece is big and easy to grip.

I think there should be some kind of retention device for the pilot. Trimming to a consistent length is easy but then you have to debur the inside of the case mouth before you can remove the pilot on a newly formed 300aac case. Maybe it would be a smoother process on a case that hasn't been sized after it's been fired.

Trims to correct length.Would buy again for other calibers when the need arises.

I like these pilots. But this is my second one as the first cut the brass below ideal trim length. Told amazon it was defective and they sent out another one free of charge and effort to me. so decent product, great support.

The E-Zee Trim is the most accurate trimmer that I have. It's VERY consistent, almost always with in + or - .001 I have the Hornady high dollar case prep center, Lee Zip Trim, Lyman case trimmer, and recently a Lee Quick Trim and they are all a pain to set up and use give you varying results compared to the E-Zee Trim

Didn't really trim cases to the length I trim to, but with a little sanding I made it work.
