Stealth Hydroponics DWC Basic Kit

I bought this kit as a beginner in hydrponics. Did a little research online and learned everything needed to know. After a few weeks and some good lighting, my plants are thriving. The only issue is that the drain valve leaked slightly, so I bought a short piece of 1/2 inch ID clear plastic tubing and bent it over and tied it off with a zip tie. Problem solved with little effort and cost. Also, it would have been nice to have some instructions, but all the info can be found online with a little google research. I highly recommend this kit for you beginners. Just make sure you do your research on lighting, keeping pH level at optimal, sanitization methods, and proper fertilizer and vitamins for your plants. Enjoy your new hobby!Update: I moved this up to a 5 star since it is working so well. Plants are absolutely thriving in this environment. I have the same plants in dirt and in comparison, the ones grown in the DWC hydroponic environment are more than twice as big and bushy than the ones grown in dirt under the same lighting and room environment.

Just right for a beginner like me. Only on week two with 4 tomato plants growing inside under a red/blue grow light. The fertilizer mixing is a little tedious, everything is measured in metrics, but thats another product.The con I have is that you need to change the water and chemicals once a week and therefore I have to pick this up and haul it outside, dump it, clean it and add more nutrients. It is very heavy and you have to be very careful with the roots and the plants while you do your maintenance.

Shipping was very fast, arrived less than 72 hours after I purchased it. It didn't come with the cd-rom which was in the description (this was fine with me as I didn't need instructions). Seems like it will be a great size for growing the spinach and lettuce I was planning to start indoors since they don't need a ton of room for the roots. Very sturdy little starter kit, all you will need besides seeds/seedlings is a ph kit, nutrients, and possibly a grow light depending on what you're growing.

The kit came in a decent amount of time, however the net pots were missing so I had to wait to actually get started. But the setup is great! It was alot smaller than I had anticipated but I was quite pleased when I saw that I could fit two of them in the grow tent I bought. The instructions are straight forward and growing is a breeze. Still learning hydroponic systems and growing so this was a great start for the money. I reccomend it for beginners like myself.

You get exactly what you see but it's nothing to shout about.I expected the quality to be better but it's satisfactory. Btw, one of the pre-drilled holed looked like someone left for lunch before completing the job. You could easily build your own for a cheaper price with better quality components. Not terribly disappointed but not thrilled.

I have been looking for something to grow some small plants close together in hydro before I transferred to 3 gallon buckets. This is exactly what I was looking for. It is very basic and kinda cheaply made, but very effective, none the less. I would recommend this to anyone trying to grow in hydro for early stages.

Bag of air rocks not that full like in pic, half of what is in pic.. Took foooooooooooooorever to get here. Not a big hydro kit, tiny tiny tiny. I don't know how a plant could ever flurish in such a tiny lil space. But I guess we will see... should have made my own.. would have been nicer and bigger and probably would have spend less than what I bought this for. Fuuuuuudge.... spend a lil more a get a good one. Trust me.

It arrived quickly and it will be ok for what I am using it for. It was a little smaller than I thought, but still I couldn't buy the all the components individually for any less, so I am pretty happy. Excited to get my veggies going in it and see how it works.
