Sharp shears
Although they are made in China, I have no problem recommending these safety shears. They have a home in my trauma kit and I’ve proven that they can cut through just about anything. They are well-made with a solid steel rivet that doesn’t have any excess play. The handles are molded perfectly into the steel shanks and comfortable to use even when cutting through tough material. There is a small divot on the back side of the handles for cutting wire or cord. I’ve tested these out on thick leather, and they cut through it with no problem. I’m not only have no problem recommending this, but I think they are a good value at this price point.

What I needed
Cheap shears fail to cut through my cat's thickly matted fur. The blades bend and don't cut. Quality shears like these can be relied upon for tough jobs.

This is a Superior Quality Product, well worth the money!!
I purchased these shears, along with a pair of the $ 5.99 Trauma shears that I was going to use as household/utility scissors. These shears are such a better product ( head and shoulders above ) than the $ 5.99 pair, that I am only using the Swiss Safe trauma shears for everything and I am going to buy another pair for backup, in case they get lost. Do yourself a favor and get best QUALITY instead of best PRICE !!

GREAT CAR ACCESSORY
Bought these for my son’s car because you never know when you need scissors. And these trauma sheers are great for cutting pretty thick things like seatbelts.

Excellent shears for non-clinical applications that may not have biohazardous contact
Phenomenal shears. As a licensed medical professional I would trust these trauma/lister bandage shears in a real world event no problem. Cons would be that if they are contaminated with blood in an actual trauma they are junk. These arent able to be cleaned with a bioenzymatic detergent and then autoclave sterilized to be reused and clean again. If that is what you’re looking for, I would advise to purchase Miltex or surgical grade instruments if that’s your purpose for them. Great for cutting bandages or clothing or other thick dressings with no blood or other biohazardous contact.

Trauma shears
I’m an EMT and I tend to either lose my scissors or when they are snapped into my pants pocket it comes un snapped and since I’m short I tend to get caught on things and they get loose and fall out somewhere. I loved my all black ones so I wanted to find a similar style, they cut very well even though I haven’t had or needed the actual use for them yet.

Great for cutting Lion fish spines!
These shears are very sharp and excellent for cutting fish spines. We use these for cutting Lionfish spines to remove venomous parts. Our dive buddies on the boats in Jamaica, St. Lucia are crazy about these cutters. They are easy to pack and work great. For $10 they are a steal and our Caribbean friends don't mind when we leave them a pair.
