Paryvara Forehead and Ear Thermometer

In the past I had difficulties finding a digital thermometer that would give a consistent reliable reading. This was almost disasterous when a family member has appendicitus and his temperature was not measuring a fever. Anyhow, this thermometer is very easy to use. You just remove the end, put it in your ear and press the button. It beeps about a second later. The forehead way is really easy also. With the end on, You just run the thermometer across your forehead holding the forehead button down. I took my temperature several times and the result was the same, which is reassuring. The display is a good size.

I'm a RN working in a school with PK-8th grade kids. I needed a thermometer that was accurate, fast, and didn't waste resources by needing plastic covers for every use. Our office has a Welch Allyn 4000 tympanic thermometer that is very accurate but it is too expensive and wasteful to maintain the supply of ear probe covers. I have compared this thermometer to the Welch Allyn on multiple students, at least 2 or 3 per day, over the 2+ weeks we have had it. This thermometer is just as accurate as the Welch Allyn, faster than the Welch Allyn, and doesn't need the ear probe covers (which get really expensive when you take 20ish temps per day). The forehead readings are about 1 degree lower than the tympanic temp (unless they have been running around outside at recess), but that is to be expected and I take that into account when doing my assessment. To clean the ear probe on this thermometer, I just use isopropyl alcohol on a cotton ball (much more cost effective and environmentally friendly than $17/box plastic ear probe covers). This has been a GREAT addition to our Health Office. I highly recommend this thermometer!

When needs to check a temperature in my house we are usually stressed about a kid not feeling well, so checking a temp needs to be fast, easy and as accurate as possible . This forehead/ear digital monitor is not either of these! I have to pull out the instructions every time and get strange readings often. This is going in the trash and I am shopping for a better one

This is a very good product! I'm a home health care clinician and using this instead of a traditional oral thermometer is a big difference as far as the convenience to my patient and myself. A few seconds moving it from side to side of the forehead without even making skin contact could give you an accurate results and reading of your patient's temperature. My patient also appreciate that they don't have to hold it under their tongue like the traditional oral thermometer lol. I highly recommend this excellent and beautiful product!!

what can i say? should have opened and checked it out when it arrived. first of all, it is blue and white, not gold !TOTALLY different design(not a bit like picture) that's cause it is not a Paryvara thermometer, but some other brand(all it says is THERMOMETER Dual mode(NO LOGO), and in miniscule letters on the back it says Wellkang,London) worst of all it is inconsistent and seems to only occasionally give a "close to normal reading", probably like a broken watch is right twice a day. terrible ripoff for $37.00 because , but it probably works great at detecting if somebody is dead or alive. i  ★NEW★ GOLD Digital Forehead And Ear Thermometer. I've tried various ways to use it. The 'swipe' method described in the manual doesn't seem to work as well as just keeping in stationary on the temple.I didn't try to use it in the ear, just forehead. I already had an ear thermometer (which was too big for small children) but I wanted something quick like they use in clinics.I end up taking three readings and just sort of average them or pick the two I think are closest.

I am the director of a preschool, and for years we have taken temperatures the old fashioned way. I am so pleased with this product! Results are immediate, and I can get a reading without waking a child, or even having them sit still. The best feature is that a temperature can be taken either on the forehead or in the ear.

I had high hopes for this thermometer but I'm sad to say it doesn't work quite like I had expected. While I think the forehead measurement is mostly accurate (though I feel like it's still off by about half a degree), the ear measurement is not even close. I've tried taking my own temperature a few times within a minute and it varies by at least 4 degrees each time. I think it's okay to use the forehand measurement most of the time but I wouldn't trust the ear measurement.

Easy to use. One button for using on the forehead, another button for using in the ear. I initially used it a few times on my husband and son's heads then, after struggling to take the plastic cover off the end, tried using it in their ears. Using it in the ear seemed to be easier and quicker than moving it across the head with even pressure, but that is obviously a personal preference.My only criticism is that I found it so difficult to remove the end cap, and I don't think I will be able to remove the battery cover when the battery needs changing (I have tried a few times and can't get it to budge). I have taken off one star because of this.Overall I am pleased with the purchase.

This digital thermometer arrived in time and reasonably packaged. It has manual as well, and all the information is there. The item itself is nice and robust. It can measure temperature from the ear drum as well as forehead. The forehead measurement is more accurate for my 4-years old, but the ear one works better for adults. You have to wait for several seconds before using different modes though.One annoying feature of our item is that the lid that covers batteries compartment comes off much easier than the one covering the 'ear mode' tip, so it is a but fiddly to remove one without removing the other. But perhaps we just got unlucky...Otherwise, recommended.

I bought this as it had good reviews but slightly regret it and ended up buying a more expensive more but 10x more reliable than this.I found when taking a temprature i could never get an accurate reading, the forehead to the ears were reading completely different. Both ears would tell 2 complete different temperatures (which i know is possible) but was a constant difference and end the end it made me worry whether it was reading correctly. Since buying a better quality thermometer and comparing the temperatures to this thermometer it was totally inaccurate.Spend more on a reliable better thermometer. You cant really put a price on someones health

Within .1 of a degree of my GP's ear thermometer, the forehead measurement is about 0.5degrees cooler than the ear, but as I know that, it is a reliable indicator of temperature taking the discrepancy into account (it does say this in the instructions as well). Quick and easy to use and they helpfully email you instructions as well as those in the box. Great value imho.

Happy with this item but I would warn anyone who buys one to allow time for it to get to house temperature before using it or you will get some odd readings and you may think it's faulty ! (mine arrived really cold from travelling in the back of the mail van) Mine works great on both ear and forehead settings. Simple to use, one push on ear setting and hold for 7 pip sounds on forehead setting'
