Sheese Vegan Cheese, Gouda

We enjoy immensely cooking, grilling, baking, making melts and sauces and hot sandwiches with this cheese. It goes with all veggies and with plant-sourced meats and with all breads. You can slice it very thin and pop it in a sandwich as is, or even cube and spear it on a toothpick with an olive,, but it works best melted or baked into a dish or tossed over hot veggies or (vegan) pasta. Shreese comes in other than Blue -- all are good!

Though this didn't taste like what I vaguely remember bleu cheese tasting like - it was good in a salad, on a steak, etc.If you don't think about it too much - it's good!

This cheese is a great vegan option for my vegan blue cheese dressing. Now I can serve a plant based wedge salad! The product arrived on time and was in excellent condition. Will buy again!

Closest thing to real Blue Cheese I've ever tasted. Hope I can try some of their other flavors - if in fact they make other flavors!

I bought mozzarella type of Sheese, but it tastes like goat cheese. It's creamy and sour. It's tasty if used as goat cheese. I put it into a lettuce and berry salad. It shreds well. I also like that it's completely dairy free.If you're looking for vegan mozzarella, then the best option might be Veggie Shreds, mozzarella flavor by Galaxy Nutritional Foods. That cheese is NOT completely vegan. It has milk protein as one of its main ingredients. However, that cheese has soy as its #1 main ingredient. So, it seems that it uses less milk in its production than does regular mozzarella. Most importantly, Veggie Shreds by Galaxy Nutritional Foods tastes similar to real mozzarella. I even like the taste and the texture of Veggie Shreds better than those of real mozzarella. The texture of Veggie Shreds is creamy and slightly dry. The taste is bland and slightly salty. Veggie Shreds melt well. I buy Veggie Shreds at Safeway.-Rasa

I LOVE this stuff. Finally a hard VEGAN sharp cheddar to put on crackers. There is nothing more frustrating than finding animal products in the ingredients list a veggie cheese. Why bother! This vegan cheese passes the test in both ingredients, taste, smell and texture. I've been vegetarian for 30 years, vegan for about 10 of those and have never found anything comparable to this product. And it lasts a good amount of time in the fridge, that is, if it doesn't get eaten first. ;o) If you've ever been dissapointed with alturnatives to cow cheese, buy this product. You'll love it.

Whenever I go to Sebastopol I always stop at Rainbow on the way home to purchase 10 containers of the hickory smoked cheddar. It is amazing. I have been vegan for over 13 years and I stopped eating animal by-products because of several reason, but honestly, I loved cheese. When I was a girl I used to eat sharp cheddar in chunks. This is the best substitute I have ever had. I would never use this on pizza or a sandwich... as I would think that to be a waste. The flavors are amazing and don't need to be over complicated with a bunch of crap... that's what Daiya is for. Don't get me wrong, I like daiya, but I would never EVER eat that out of the bag. Right now you can't purchase this item on amazon, but I suggest asking your local vegan friendly grocer to order it for you.
