I love the idea of these lights. However, unfortunately they arrived broken. One piece of copper was broken about a foot into the lights, and the lights did not work after the broken piece. I am returning and hoping that I get a fully functional set of lights. I will update review. Updated review: I was supposed to receive my second set of lights today, however I just received a message that they will not be arriving for at least another week. Not happy, and I am considering just returning for a full refund. UPDATED UPDATED Review: Although I had received a message that it would be another week before I received the item, they were here the next day. Thankful for that. These lights really are great!

The lights were placed on the inside edge of an outside deck canopy during December and early January--Northern Virginia location. A pleasant ambiance was created. The lights and battery pack, not directly exposed to the elements, weathered fine. It's a plus not to be concerned with an extension cord! The initial battery-install use of approximately 4 hours daily lasted the season and were still glowing nicely at take-down. There were no problems or drama and certainly easier to put-up than conventional light strings. A zip-lok baggie is being used to store the looped lights without batteries. The lights will be reintroduced for Spring, Summer and Fall. <<<I think that this battery pack used 6 AA. I hate the button batteries; it never fails that when I need CR2025s, all I have are the CR2032s and vice-versa requiring a magnifying glass read!>>>>> Now, that being said, similar shorter, color strings requiring the button batteries also performed excellently.

Still more bright white than soft-white but better than some of the bluer LED's out there. I had new batteries in for an outdoor Halloween display on the timer setting, batteries lasted for about 5 weeks and then you could hardly see them. That's fine with me considering I mostly use them for seasonal decorations. Right now I have a set wired to a 3' wreath hanging on the side of our house- no need to have an ugly electrical cord hanging through a window, this is a great solution.

So far, so good! I wanted the longer length and battery operated with a timer, these lights are all of that for a very reasonable price! I was replacing lights on a topiary, so the wire made this a very easy job. The lights are small, warm white color. The switch behaved a bit strangely at first (hence the four stars, instead of five), but seems to be working fine now. I'll definitely update this review if anything changes, but at the point, I am finding these lights are a sweet little decorating addition!

I’ve used these types of lights for about 10 years and these go through batteries like no other. I can get about 5 nights before they die. Other lights have lasted a month before needing a battery change.

These are awesome. Used them for lighted Christmas balls hanging in my trees. Love the 6hr on/18 hr off timer. Set them all once, hung them up and they have been turning themselves on and off for almost a month. Have withstood rain, snow, wind etc and no problems. They are nice and bright. Battery pack is a little big (6 AA) but that wasn't a problem for me. Well made and I expect to get many years of use out of them. My only complaint was one was tangled when I tried to unravel it and it took me 15 mins of fishing the end through over and over. However the 2nd one unrolled as expected. I am planning on buying 10 more to make more lighted Christmas balls.

Bright lights, but had issues with where they connect the strand to the wires at the base. WEAK job, don't even look like they are bound together. Just touching, then covered. I thought I could fix, not a big deal. And I did, put a touch of glue to hold, let that dry. Then turned it on... And it didn't work. Never did get it working again. What a freaking pain. Wasted so much time I could have been doing other decorating stuff. Oh, was being wrapped around metal hearts for a Valentine's Day wreath I put on the bedroom windows facing the street. Just a TINY bit more of quality control on these, and they could stop this kind of issue. A simple twist and turn (get your mind out of the gutter), could have ensured these wouldn't have come loose. Maybe with a dab of electrical adhesive. Oh, I wish there was some way to make these so that they do not catch and tangle so easily. It has been a PAIN, because I've had to undo and redo these multiple times. As they kept start/stop working. And I have wasted SO much time trying to untangle. 33' is a LOT when you are dealing with this kind of wire, especially when you are trying to use it as I was.

I bought these as there were limited options that would guarantee 2 day delivery. I needed blue lights for my window to show support to essential workers. I should know better as I have had these types of string lights before and they always tangle! They come wrapped in a way where the whole string is tight so it doesn't unravel but its nearly impossible to start to unravel it from the end. The end you want to start with is tucked deep inside the roll and the end with the huge battery pack cannot be pulled through as it's too big. It sounds so convoluted but basically, these stupid things tangle so easily that they are downright infuriating! lol

Great deal includes 3 long strings and no defects. They arrived as promised. Have been outside in my flower planters all summer. Work really well and are affordable. Nice long strings, look great in planters and would be great for weddings indoors and outdoors. Would look really nice wrapped in garland and on fireplace mantles, under awnings and patio umbrellas. Timers worked well. Not one complaint. Received lots of ooooos and awws from friends and family on summer evenings when they all lit up. UPDATE: We are now transitioning them from our fall displays to our winter decorations. Beautiful in every season!

Love this purchase! Excellent value, great brightness for the size, plenty of LEDs on the string..Using them outside to accent my gazebo..The battery compartment is decently solid and water resistant..3AA batteries are needed..Reccomended item for sure..

The battery compartment is a well sealed unit which makes it a good buy for exterior use. It accommodates a total of 6 batteries for long runtimes, but you can use it with 3 batteries. (The battery circuit is in parallel). As for brightness, these light are for ambiance, so don't expect to light up a room.I am generally satisfied with this product.

These lights are supposed to be sealed and waterproof- put them in a covered vase but a little water got in and the lights never worked properly after despite drying the unit out completely and putting in new batteries. I won't buy again
