What I learned in super hot desert: Plants don't survive summers in pots, in Phoenix. They just don't. I got lucky, these arrived on a rare overcast day, I cooled plants down undisturbed in their shipping box indoors for a while, planted with great care in afternoon, in semi-sun - semi-shade spot, WELL watered area to cool ground, and they never even got wilty this time. Both plants doing great. I think once stevia are taken care of, they do fine, but no plants can handle over 100° temps for long. I will pot them again in winter, or maybe just give them lots protection for frost months. Review: A happy perkey little plamt. - A perky little plant, well rooted in what appears to be broken up tree bark. Will move to soil mixed with the bark in a larger pot in the morning. For now, it is waiting, well watered and draining nicely, in it's travel pot on the 4 season porch. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000O9SVKS | | Best Sellers Rank | #133,359 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #912 in Herb Plants & Seeds | | Brand | Hirt's Gardens | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars (368) | | Indoor/Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Item Weight | 0.01 ounces | | Material Feature | GMO Free | | Moisture Needs | Moderate Watering | | Product Care Instructions | Water | | Soil Type | Sandy Soil | | Special Feature | Attracts Pollinators | | Sunlight Exposure | Full Sun | | UPC | 811332037554 | | USDA Hardiness Zone | 10, 11, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Hirt's Gardens - **Indoor/Outdoor Usage:** Indoor - **Item Weight:** 0.01 Ounces - **Material Feature:** GMO Free - **Product Care Instructions:** Water - **Soil Type:** Sandy Soil - **Special Feature:** Attracts Pollinators - **Sunlight Exposure:** Full Sun - **USDA Hardiness Zone:** 10, 11, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 - **Unit Count:** 1.0 Count ## Images ![Stevia Amazing Sugar Plant - Sweetleaf - No Calories - 4" Pot - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61E5DsLwawL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Need protection from hot desert heat when establishing *by H***A on May 30, 2023* I live in HOT DESERT, and it took several live stevia plant purchases (this is my 4th attempt), but I finally was able to follow directions well (previous years, plants were in mail box too long, or not planted quickly enough). Will move to soil mixed with the bark in a larger pot in the morning. For now, it is waiting, well watered and draining nicely, in it's travel pot on the 4 season porch. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ She ate it! *by J***E on December 25, 2025* My sister actually asked for this. I had no idea why at the time, but seriously, she wanted to eat the leaves! They are rather tasty. Go figure. To each his own, as they say. I'm happy because she and her husband were happy with it! ## Frequently Bought Together - Stevia Amazing Sugar Plant - Sweetleaf - No Calories - 4" Pot - Outsidepride 50 Seeds Perennial Stevia Sweetleaf Herb Garden Seed for Planting - FreshDrinkUS, Premium 300+ Natural Stevia Leaves, Whole Dried Leaves, 100% Pure Stevia Dried Leaves, Stevia Leaf Tea, Zero Calorie Sweetener, No Additives, No Caffeine, Vegan --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/16244905-stevia-amazing-sugar-plant-sweetleaf-no-calories-4-pot](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/16244905-stevia-amazing-sugar-plant-sweetleaf-no-calories-4-pot) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
