ROPER Mens Gum Sticker Square Toe Chukka Casual Boots Ankle

My husband loves these shoes. Very comfortable .

I had been looking for this style of boot for a while, as I had had a set back in the 70's. But until I found this brand they were all narrow width and over priced. I took a chance on Ropers , because the price was not astronomical. Upon arrival, which was prompt; I was pleased with the construction, and appearance. I ordered 9 & 1/2 size, wide. They fit well {Width} but ware just a bit long around the toes. My fault, I could have returned them; but the fault was mine - I should have ordered my correct size and not tried to "account" for the current shoe sizes being skimpy. Roper makes the size they advertise, the fit, other than the length is great (once again my fault). No internal seams that rub or chafe, no leather blemishes, all leather, no manmade leather alternatives. I like them, I will buy more, I recomend them highly

I have had Clark wallabies in the past by far these ropers fit my feet better and I believe are more comfortable good shoe good quality made

I love the crepe sole and soft leather. I looked at several options and after consideration chose to order this Roper men's gum sticker shoe. Initially it was a bit snug. Now I find it pretty comfy and becoming more so with wear. That said, I am a woman and I think most men with a slightly wider foot and longer toe would find the shoe tight width-wise. Also the sole seems a tiny bit narrower than the shoe. Perhaps it will squish wider with wear. I chose a man's shoe to get a bit taller toe box as I have a twisted toe that needs more room than most. I would buy these again when this pair wears out as it is getting that comfortable and I love the sole material. It is springy enough that I do not miss the arch support. There is a soft insole. It will provide safe winter walks even in a bit of ice and the higher top will provide warmth also. As it stretches a bit there will soon be enough room for some of my handknit lightweight wool socks. I have been wearing these shoes on my 2-3 mile daily walks with no discomfort. Make no mistake, if your foot is not terribly wide these will make you a nice walking shoe.

I’ve owned multiple pairs of these boots and loved how comfortable and quiet they were while hunting. I have only worn this new pair a few times and noticed the gum sole separating from the leather top portion of the boot. I typically wear a hole in the leather and throw them away before anything like this has happened. Very disappointed in the quality of construction.
