First, As to the watchdog, it's really cute, what it says is very comforting and the nightlights are a wonderful addition. It works really well and the voice it uses is very nice. It's also very soft and cuddly.By the way, although it's aimed for young children it is also a wonderful companion for us older folks.Second: This is the most incredible seller I have ever dealt with. I ordered Skye and the Post Awful claimed it was delivered. Indeed it was but not to me; to somewhere else. I let the seller know and he worked tirelessly to try to find out what happened.He sent numerous emails keeping us up-to-date on his search. He ended up promptly sending us a replacement.I've never had a seller work so hard to make up for a mistake that he himself never made.Excellent and long-lasting product and just as excellent a seller.

We have been using Skye the Watchdog for months with great success! The quality and level of detail with this sleep "toy" is outstanding and way above any other sleep light/toy/book or idea I could come up with. The service provided by Volcano LLC really sets the bar high for other toy companies. The instructions for use were easy to understand and everything worked as stated, we could really tell that they take great pride in their product. It was a very refreshing change from mass produced, thoughtlessly shipped and the poor instructions we have become accustomed to from the toy industry. We are using this with our 5 year old daughter, I was concerned that they may be too old for the comfort of this toy - boy was I wrong! She has embraced it completely and many nights looks forward to bedtime so she can snuggle with Skye. Really powerful - she has not slept alone in 5 years..........I can't say enough positive about this great sleep aid!!!!Pros:Night lights are bright enough to offer comfort but not so bright to fully wake up childNice "magical" sound when star lights light up. I have not been able to get my 6 year old to sleep in her own bedroom ever! She has slept in her room the past 2 nights with her new watchdog buddy! She called out for me a couple times during the night but I remind her to turn on her magic stars and she falls back asleep. I believe once she gets in that habit she will finally be sleeping in there without calling out to me! I will update after a few weeks on how she is doing. I also want to say that Geoff and his company are incredibly awesome! He went above and beyond to make sure my daughters new friend was in great working order and even threw in an extra star!! A++ company for sure who really care about their costumers!! I will be buying more and have already recommended to family and friends! I also received a letter right from Goeff in the box! This product was a game changer for my bedtime routine. We went all in, did the coloring pages and read the book and the poem every night... anything we could to solidify my daughters attachment to "Skye". It totally worked, and what used to be a nightmare bedtime routine of being scared of the dark and crying, bad behavior just to keep me in her room even if it was negative attention - all gone. At first she'd hit the lights often. Then less and less, but I do still here the toy's reassuring phrases or the chime of the lights coming on in the middle of the night.HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We purchased this after my 3 year old daughter (who has always slept alone without any problems) began being afraid of a movie that she watched at her preschool. In their defense, it was probably entirely appropriate but she is VERY sensitive and we know what to avoid at home. In any case, she began screaming and crying immediately after we left her room at night. As any parent knows, sleep is EVERYTHING, so we quickly became desperate for help. We tried a flashlight, sleeping in her room (which was more distracting for her than anything and NO ONE was sleeping well), and even a "special plant" in her room "to scare away the scary things". Some things were helpful for a night or 2, but after I saw this on Amazon, I knew I had to try it. My daughter immediately LOVED her Skye! She always remembers to ask to say the poem aloud each night and wants to sleep with the board book under her pillow. Before bed I say goodnight and thank you to our Watchdog for keeping us safe. It has worked wonders and we are over a month later and have had ZERO complaints of being scared since. This product is genius. Just buy it.

Incredible toy! Actually it is more than a toy -- it is an awesome tool to give our kids power and a feeling of control disguised as a toy. Our nearly seven year old loves squeezing the paw and hearing and seeing the lights light up. We have them all around her room and they banish the scary gloomy corners when she wakes up in the night or when she is struggling to fall asleep. And the toy itself? It actually comes with instructions on how to best use it to support your child's growth. A toy company who actually cares about tis products and the families who use them -- incredible!
